Detroit Pistons (-142) at Orlando Magic (+120) | O/U 213.5 (-108/-112)

  • Leg 1: Pistons -2.5 (-110)
  • Leg 2: Under 213.5 Points (-112)
  • Leg 3: Cade Cunningham to Record a Double-Double (-120)

In the first game of the day, the Pistons and Magic tip off for a pivotal Game 3 at Kia Center. Oddly enough, the only NBA playoff game I ever attended in Orlando featured these two teams back in 2003 at the O-Rena.

The Magic surprised the Pistons in Game 1 at Little Caesars Arena in downtown Detroit, 112-101, cashing as an 8.5-point underdog as the Under (221.5) connected. In Game 2, the Pistons rebounded with a 98-83 win as 8.5-point favorites, again as the Under (218.5) connected.

In Game 2’s win, the Pistons were anything but crisp, hitting 46 percent (39-of-85) from the field, and just 23 percent (6-of-26) from behind the 3-point line. The Pistons were also a dismal 58 percent (14-of-24) from the free-throw line. It’s a good thing Detroit Basketball was plus-15 in the rebounding department, while posting a plus-5 in both the assists and blocks categories. Detroit was also plus-20 in points in the paint, which masked 23 total turnovers for the home side, a minus-4 in that area.

Cade Cunningham certainly did his part, hitting 11-of-19 from the field to end up with a game-high 27 points, while dishing out 11 assists. He did turn the ball over seven times, and we’d like to see him chop that down. While he was just 1-of-6 from downtown, Duncan Robinson was a bright spot with three treys on eight attempts, supplying 10 points. Tobias Harris had 16 points against his former team, adding 11 boards and two blocks.

The Magic had four starters in double figures, including Jalen Suggs going for 19 points, and Paolo Banchero chiming in with 18. The latter also had eight assists and six rebounds with a steal and a block for another strong all-around game. Orlando shot just 33 percent (26-of-80) for the game, however, and just 25 percent (8-of-32) from behind the arc. That simply will not do if you’re trying to score the series upset, but the Magic still managed a road split in the first two games.

This is a huge spot for Orlando. They were 26-15 at home in the regular season, but Detroit was 28-13 on the road. The teams were each 1-1 straight up and against the spread (ATS) in the other teams’ place, too. We’ll take the Pistons to have an even better Game 3, and we’ll stick with the Under theme. The total has gone low in four of the past five meetings since Nov. 28.

For the player props, let’s keep it simple. Cunningham averaged 23.9 PPG and 9.9 APG in the regular season, and he had a double-double in Game 2. He also had 29 and 11 in Orlando on March 1 in the most recent regular-season meeting, and he averaged 32.7 PPG, 10.7 APG, and 8.3 RPG against the Magic in the regular season. Take Cunningham to get a double-double in Game 3.

Oklahoma City Thunder (-405) at Phoenix Suns (+315) | O/U 214.5 (-114/-106)

  • Leg 1: Rockets -5.5 (-105)
  • Leg 2: Over 207.5 Points (-105)
  • Leg 3: Chet Holmgren – 2+ Blocked Shots (-188)
  • Leg 4: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 42.5 – Pts + Rebs + Asts (-120)

In the second game of the afternoon, OKC heads to the Valley of the Sun looking to set the Suns into a 0-3 series hole in Game 3. The defending champs blasted Phoenix 119-84 in Game 1, covering as 16.5-point favorites. The Suns covered a 17.5-point number in Game 2, but the Thunder still won handily, 120-107. The Over-Under has split in the first two games, too.

In Game 2, which was a much more competitive contest, OKC shot 47 percent (14-of-40), and Phoenix hit 46 percent (39-of-85). The teams had identical 35 percent marks from behind the 3-point line, too, while the Suns were plus-4 in rebounding. The difference was miscues, as Phoenix turned it over 22 times, while Oklahoma City had just 10 mistakes. OKC was plus-6 in points in the paint, too.

Oh, and the Thunder also has defending MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who erupted for 37 points, nine assists, and five rebounds with just three turnovers and a pair of 3-pointers. Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams were both good for 19 points, and Holmgren swatted four shots, too.

The Suns had a big effort from Dillon Brooks, as he dropped 30 in Game 2, including five made 3-pointers, and Devin Booker was good for 22 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.

These teams have met seven total times this season since Nov. 28, 2025, with Oklahoma City winning five of those matchups. The teams have split 3-3 ATS, with Phoenix covering three times in five tries as a double-digit underdog. The Over is 3-1 in the previous four matchups. In Arizona, these teams split the regular-season meetings, both straight up and ATS, and, yep, the total split, too, so not much to glean from those trends.

We’ll back the Thunder to get the job done by double digits in Phoenix in Game 3, however. The Suns just aren’t deep enough to keep it a close game, and we’ll go high on the total.

For player props, we’ll keep it simple. Holmgren had four blocks in Game 2. He won’t likely be nearly as prolific, but he should be able to get to at least two blocks in Game 3. And, it’s fun to cheer for success, and all eyes will be on SGA. Let’s go high on this player combo, which seems a bit low at 42.5 for total points, rebounds, and assists.
