NBA Same Game Parlays & Picks: Spurs vs. Thunder (Tuesday)

NBA Same Game Parlays & Picks: Spurs vs. Thunder (Tuesday)

The Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs continue to battle, as the Western Conference Finals are knotted up at 2-2. With the command of the series on the line, I expect another high-scoring outing after Game 4 was dominated by defenses. I also explain why I expect Victor Wembanyama to struggle on the glass, and how Alex Caruso can rebound from a horrible Game 4. Here are the best NBA same game parlays for Tuesday, May 26th.

Spurs vs. Thunder Same Game Parlay

Leg #1: Over 215.5 Points (-110)

Game 4 featured only 185 points, as the Thunder managed just 82 points. But I don't think that performance is indicative of what we'll see tonight. Game 4 was essentially over at halftime. The Spurs led by 12, and the Thunder were never able to cut the lead to single digits in the second half.

The first three games of this series were much closer, and all three featured at least 231 combined points. In each of those three contests, at least one team scored 122 points.

While the first game went to double-overtime, I still can't help but like the offenses when I expect competitive contests, as these two teams both finished in the top eight in field goal rate in the regular season. In the postseason, the only team better than either is the Knicks. Both these defenses are good, but the offenses are simply better.

Leg #2: Victor Wembanyama Under 13.5 Rebounds (-134)

After 41 rebounds in the first two games of the series, Victor Wembanyama has gone quiet. He has just 12 total rebounds in 70 minutes over his last two games, and he hasn't recorded more than eight rebounds in either contest.

While these performances may seem like outliers, Wembanyama also grabbed six or fewer rebounds in two games against the Timberwolves and five or fewer in two games against the Trail Blazers.

Thanks to his incredible 24-rebound performance in Game 1, Wembanyama is averaging 11.4 rebounds per game in the postseason. But he's been way too inconsistent to trust entering this contest. This is a high price, but until Wembanyama breaks out of his current funk, I'm not backing him to surpass his regular-season average of 11.5 rebounds by 2.5.

Leg #3: Alex Caruso Over 2.5 Made Three-Pointers (+317)

Game 4 was a nightmare for Alex Caruso. He played just 14 minutes, attempted only one shot and finished with zero points for the first time since February 20th. But there is still a lot to like about Caruso in this game.

Caruso has made at least three three-pointers in three of the four games in this series. In Oklahoma City, he's made 11 three-pointers in two games, shooting 61% from beyond the arc. The Spurs have been great at defending the three-point line in the postseason, but Caruso has shot 57.1% or better in three games this series.

I'll take a shot on Caruso back on his home floor to inflate the price for this parlay.
