NBA Same Game Parlays & Picks: Thunder vs. Spurs (Friday)

NBA Same Game Parlays & Picks: Friday (5/22)

Suppose you wanted to see the best teams in the playoffs, so far, so good. That is certainly the case in the Western Conference with the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder. Game 3 of their epic series is tonight in San Antonio. Let's talk about the best NBA same game parlays (SGPs) for the game.

Of course, whether something is the "best" depends on your perspective. If you back the Spurs, an SGP favoring the Thunder can't be the best, and vice versa. With that in mind, I'll present an option featuring each team.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs

Thunder-Centric SGP

Leg#1: Thunder Moneyline (+105)

This could very well be the last time the Thunder will have plus-money odds on the Moneyline (unless they lose tonight, in which case they'll almost certainly have them again in Game 4). If you are a Thunder supporter, you can't pass up this opportunity.

Leg #2: Victor Wembanyama Under 26.5 Points (-112)

It may be more important for the Thunder to keep San Antonio's playmakers in check, namely Victor Wembanyama, than to get their own offense going.

To that end, they did a decent job defending Wembanyama in Game 2, holding him to 21 points. He has gone under this total in seven out of 12 playoff games and has gone over it once in seven games versus the Thunder this year.

Leg#3: Isaiah Hartenstein Over 7.5 Rebounds (-135)

Isaiah Hartenstein did an admirable job battling Victor Wembanyama in Game 2 and came down with 13 boards that night. Can he replicate that production tonight?

I doubt it. But Hartenstein is a solid rebounder. As long as he gets around 25 minutes, he should be able to go over this mark.

Parlay Odd: +420 - A $100 wager will result in a $520 payday; your stake plus $420 in winnings.

Spurs-Centric SGP

Leg #1: Spurs -1.5 (-115)

If the game is actually close enough for a 1.5-point spread to be in play for either team, the other team will start fouling like crazy in the final couple of minutes, practically ensuring the winner easily covers the spread.

But since I'm banking on the Spurs to win in this SGP, I'm going to take the points and the better price and hope my earlier point is correct (meaning they'll cover if they win).

Leg #2: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Under 30.5 Points (-115)

As with the Thunder and Victor Wembanyama, the Spurs will need to keep Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in check if they are going to have any chance of winning.

The back-to-back MVP had 30 points in Game 2 and has averaged 28.7 points per game in the postseason. He has gone over this total once in his last six games. In six games against the Spurs this season, Gilgeous-Alexander went under this total four times.

Leg #3: Victor Wembanyama Over 4.5 Blocks + Steals (-120)

Cictor Wembanyama’s production on the scoreboard is crucial to San Antonio's chances of winning this game, but so is his defense.

The Spurs big man has gone over this mark five times in the playoffs. If the Spurs are going to win this game, they'll need another huge game from him on the defensive end.

Parlay Odds: +410 - A $100 wager will result in a $510 payday; your stake plus $410 in winnings.
