NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (1/15)

Warriors vs. Mavericks NBA Player Prop Bet Odds & Picks (Wednesday)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks! Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight's NBA action. Similar to fantasy sports, the goal in Sleeper Picks is to draft a team of players based on who you think will perform better than the field. But with Sleeper Picks, you pick teams of 2-8 players from multiple teams based on your preferences and predict whether those players will score more or less than a predetermined amount. There are a number of ways to play and a variety of strategies to employ, and we’ll guide you through the process each week.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (1/15/24)

Season record: 107-62

Kyrie Irving (G – DAL): OVER 33.5 points

No Luka? No problem. Kyrie is set to go off tonight, with Luka Doncic listed as doubtful. Kyrie has scored 33 or more points in four straight games but is averaging just 27.8 points per game with Luka out of the lineup this season. Kyrie scored 33 against these same Pelicans on Saturday but connected on just five of his 14 attempts from deep. If he can drain the deep ball or get to the line at a higher clip, he should be able to hit at least the 34 points needed for the More to hit. The initial lean here was on the Less, but form and opponent suggest that Kyrie should score at least 33 points tonight. Hit the More for Monday night.

Klay Thompson (G/F – GSW): OVER 18.5 points

Klay is clearly in the decline phase of his career, but his shooting stroke remains, so he is perfectly capable of lighting up the scoreboard, especially when he concentrates his volume to beyond the arc. Klay has scored 19 or more points in four of his last five games. Whether or not he hits tonight is entirely dependent on the amount of shots he decides to take. Klay has been hot enough to expect a number in the high teens, but as his matchup last Wednesday taught us, he can become passive even when the Warriors are getting demolished. Tonight, Klay will face off against a depleted Memphis Grizzlies team surrendering 20.99 points per game to the small forward position and 20.82 to the shooting guard position. Play the More on Klay for Monday night's action.

Immanuel Quickley (G – TOR): OVER 4.5 assists

Prior to Saturday's beat down at the hands of the Utah Jazz, where Quickley played just 24 minutes, IQ had posted five or more assists in five consecutive games. He should get back on track tonight against a Boston Celtics team that has been one of the best in the NBA in terms of limiting assists to the point guard position but still gives up more than enough for the purposes of this total at 7.79 per contest. Tap the More on Quickley for Monday night.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
