NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (12/1)

NBA Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (12/10)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks! Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight's NBA action. Similar to fantasy sports, the goal in Sleeper Picks is to draft a team of players based on who you think will perform better than the field. But with Sleeper Picks, you pick teams of 2-8 players from multiple teams based on your preferences and predict whether those players will score more or less than a predetermined amount. There are a number of ways to play and a variety of strategies to employ, and we’ll guide you through the process each week.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (12/1/23)

Season record: 46-31

Zion Williamson (F – NOP): OVER 24.5 points

Zion has been on fire for the New Orleans Pelicans when he is on the floor. Averaging 24 points per game on the season, Zion has dropped 25 or more in six straight games. Of course, that means Sleeper Picks set the line right on the edge of value at 24.5. Still, this is a line to attack based on Zion's recent play. Tonight’s game is approaching must-watch TV as we are expected to see the first head-to-head battle of the two most exciting young bigs in the league with Victor Wembanyama on the other side. I did have some trepidation about this total due to Zion's preferred scoring area being Wemby's domain. However, Zion has enough weapons around him to keep Wemby busy and not focused on shutting him down on every possession. Zap the More and roll with Zion while he is cooking.

Deni Avdija (F – WAS): OVER 11.5 points

Deni has started to heat up for the Washington Wizards, dropping 22 points last game and 16 the game before. These are not superstar numbers by any stretch of the imagination but on a team with two chuckers, Deni still getting his is impressive. Averaging 12.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game in just 26:57 minutes per game, Deni's per 36 averages are 16.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 4.8 assists. Avdija's role should be expanding, but on a team with Jordan Poole and Kyle Kuzma, shots of any kind are hard to come by. Still, the total tonight has been set low enough to attack based on Deni's recent play. Dap the More on Deni for Friday night.

Luka Doncic (G/F – DAL): OVER 0.5 points

Sleeper Picks has a promo line exclusively for first-time users for Friday night. Luka Doncic has to score just one point. This should be viewed as a free multiplier boost, as new players will still be required to make two more predictions on their ticket. Yes, it is possible for players to be ejected before any points are scored (we have already seen it this season), but Luka's beef is usually with the refs, not fellow players. All new players should wait until a promo line is available before signing up, and the focus should be on the first time users only promos, as Sleeper also runs promos for their entire user base. First time users should also be aware that you can combine sports but cannot combine promo lines. Tap the More on Luka for your first ticket.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
