NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (5/22/24)

Regular season record: 202-130
Playoff record: 35-34

Naz Reid (F/C – MIN): OVER 9.5 points

Reid has played a significant role for Minnesota in the postseason but is still seeing sporadic minutes under (less than 22 a night) due to the success of the Timberwolves starting five. That being said, Reid has scored 10 or more points in three of his last four games and in eight of his 12 playoff contests overall. Reid scored 27, 15, and 12 in his three games against the Mavericks during the regular season. Rap the More on Reid for Game 1.

Jaden McDaniels (F – MIN): OVER 10.5 points

Jaden McDaniels was the spark that helped propel the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Western Conference Finals, so look for his teammates to keep feeding him when he has good looks beyond the arc. McDaniels scored 21 and 23 in the T'Wolves' Game 6 and Game 7 victories and could be the X-factor in this series. Jab the More on Jaden for Game 1.

Luka Doncic (G/F – DAL): OVER 7.5 rebounds (alt line)

While the 5.5 alt line has the most appeal due to the sky-high probability, we will drop the line from 8.5 to 7.5 instead so we can maintain a more appetizing multiplier. Luka hauled in 10 or more rebounds in each of his last five games and will need to be a factor on the boards to help balance the size differential in the frontcourt. Luka managed just six rebounds in each of the two games he played against Minnesota this season but will have a lot more help in this series in the form of a healthy Kyrie Irving and impact trade deadline acquisitions P.J. Washington and Daniel Gafford. Tap the 5.5 if the past matchup data has you weary, but dap the More on the Doncic at 7.5 rebounds otherwise.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
