Week 17 in the NFL ends with the Rams heading to Atlanta to take on the Falcons in a potentially important NFC matchup. There’s no chance to win the NFC West for Los Angeles, but if they win the next two games and the 49ers lose next week, then the Rams move up to the No. 5 seed in the NFC. The Buccaneers will pay close attention to this game because even if they win in Week 18, they need Atlanta to lose one more game to win the NFC South. Let’s break down this game with our top NFL Monday Night Football same-game parlay (SGP).

NFL Monday Night Football Same Game Parlay: Rams vs. Falcons (Week 17)
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Los Angeles Rams vs. Atlanta Falcons
- Leg 1: Over 48.5 Points (-115)
- Leg 2: Matthew Stafford 22+ Completions (-150)
- Leg 3: Kyle Pitts 50+ Receiving Yards (-122)
Offensively, the Rams have performed well throughout the season. Matthew Stafford is an MVP candidate as he leads the league with 40 passing touchdowns. Puka Nacua is second in receiving yards with 1,592 and is coming off a 225-receiving-yard performance. Even Kyren Williams is having a great season, ranking 10th in rushing yards with 1,100.
It all goes through Stafford, though, and he's been able to dissect defenses all season. That is all thanks to his offensive line, which is fourth in pressure rate allowed (17.8%), and Stafford scrambling just six times. That could be trouble for an Atlanta defense that loves to send pressure and ranks second in blitz rate (35.4%). Stafford is fourth in completions (113) when blitzed.
Should the Falcons reevaluate their quarterback situation? The team has looked good since Michael Penix Jr. suffered a season-ending injury. Since Week 13, when Kirk Cousins officially took over, the Falcons are 12th in offensive expected points added (EPA) per play (0.047), compared to 24th in Weeks 1-12. The biggest beneficiary of Cousins behind center is Kyle Pitts.
The former first-round pick has not lived up to expectations after his breakout rookie season, when he recorded 1,026 receiving yards. He will need to average 73 receiving yards in the next two games to finish with 1,000 for the first time since that rookie season. Pitts has been Cousins' favorite target - from Weeks 13-16, Pitts ranks second with 313 receiving yards and 29 receptions. Even with Drake London back in the lineup last week, Pitts got a healthy dose of targets and has at least eight in four straight games.
The Rams have good overall numbers against tight ends, but they've rarely faced ones that are a focal point of the offense. However, when they did, L.A. struggled, including giving up 10 catches for 70 yards to Seattle's AJ Barner and nine catches for 84 yards to San Francisco's George Kittle.
The Rams show confidence in their offense because they have been allowing points recently. In the last two games, the defense has allowed 72 points, but the offense scored 78. Both teams have talented receivers and can move the ball on the ground. This has all the indications of a high-scoring matchup.
