One popular way bettors try to find value on NFL lines is by playing teasers. An NFL teaser is similar to a parlay; you add multiple legs that must all win for the bet to pay out. The key difference from parlays is that a teaser allows you to buy points - like 6.0, 6.5, or 7.0 - in a direction that lowers risk.

Pittsburgh Steelers (-6.5 to -0.5) vs. Cleveland Browns
This is a big-time revenge spot for the Steelers after losing to the Browns two weeks ago.
In their first meeting, the Steelers were in a tough scheduling spot coming off a big, emotional win against the Ravens. They then had to travel on a short week and play a Browns team that was a bit more motivated that week.
This time around, the Browns are at a rest disadvantage, coming off a Monday Night Football loss against the Broncos.
The Steelers also get back Alex Highsmith, who missed out on the first meeting. This game could get ugly for the Browns. There is a good chance the Steelers convert this spread outright but teasing them allows us to cash in with an outright win.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-6.5 to -0.5) vs. Las Vegas Raiders
Aidan O’Connell threw for 340 yards against the Chiefs last week, but I don’t think we see a repeat performance in Week 14 despite playing a weaker Buccaneers defense.
Despite outperforming Patrick Mahomes, O’Connell and the Raiders were only able to muster up 17 points.
Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers’ offense love to feast against bad defenses. One big advantage Tampa has is in the trenches. The Buccaneers’ offensive line ranks third in Pro Football Focus (PFF) pass-blocking with an 81.1 grade. They are also allowing the second-lowest pressure rate (17.8%).
Despite having one of the pass-rushers in the game in Maxx Crosby, the Raiders rank 25th in PFF’s pass-rush grade (62.3) and are 29th in pressure rate (29.5%).
Per PFF, Baker Mayfield has thrown 35 touchdown passes in 2024, the third-most in the league. Of those scores, 96% have come from a clean pocket, which is tops in the league.
Miami Dolphins (-5.5 to +0.5) vs. New York Jets
I think the Jets are waving the white flag on the 2024 NFL season despite making numerous moves to save their season.
Losing eight of their last nine games, Aaron Rodgers seems to have zero interest in this Jets team, while the Dolphins still believe they can make a run to the playoffs despite their ugly loss on Thanksgiving.
There are rumors Mike McDaniel is on the hot seat in Miami, but a win against a free-falling Jets team could go a long way in saving his job.
It’s been known Miami loves to beat up on bottom-tier teams while struggling against top-tier teams.
I never like teasing through 0, but backing a Dolphins team at home with extra rest against a struggling Jets has me doing it anyway.
