Allen Robinson’s Rams debut didn’t go as planned. Pretty much the entire game for the Rams did not go as planned. The Buffalo Bills came out and made a statement with a double-digit win over the defending champions.
Allen Robinson had just one catch on two lousy targets.
Week 2 brings a lot of overreaction. Despite some struggles in week 1 for both the Rams and Robinson, I believe both parties will be fine moving forward.
Buffalo’s defense played zone for almost the entire game because their best CB, Tre’Davious White, was out and had to make up for starting two rookie cornerbacks. Practically every throw Stafford made went towards Cooper Kupp or Tyler Higbee in the middle of the field. There was no attempt to push the ball downfield on the outside, where Allen Robinson was playing. Robinson was double-teamed all game as Buffalo had safety help on top all night.
Look for a bounce-back game for Allen Robinson.
