NFL Week 2 Teasers: Picks & Predictions (2025)

NFL Week 2 Teasers: Picks & Predictions (2025)

One popular way bettors try to find value on NFL lines is by playing teasers. An NFL teaser is similar to a parlay; you add multiple legs that must all win for the bet to pay out. The key difference from parlays is that a teaser allows you to buy points - like 6.0, 6.5, or 7.0 - in a direction that lowers risk.

Teaser Tips to Follow:

  • Never cross over 0
  • Tease through two key numbers, ideally 3 & 7
  • Tease games with lower totals, ideally anything 49 or fewer

Below are three NFL Week 2 teaser picks, along with my best teaser bet.

NFL Week 2 Teaser Picks

(Odds via Caesars Sportsbook)

New England Patriots (+1.5 to +7.5) vs. Miami Dolphins

You could make a case that the Miami Dolphins were the worst NFL team in Week 1. Nothing went right, and nothing looked sharp, as they got smoked 33-8, with Miami finally scoring with six minutes left in the fourth quarter.

Bettors will see that and fade Miami, which could make the Patriots a trendy underdog pick.

Miami has the skill players to put up points in bunches, so there's real blowout potential here - especially with this game being played in Miami.

However, I think Vrabel and company won't let that happen. With injuries piling up in the Dolphins' defensive backfield, Drake Maye and this offense should be able to score enough to keep this within a one-touchdown game.

Detroit Lions (-6 to pick’em) vs. Chicago Bears

We're going back to the Lions this week. Even though they were the one teaser leg that didn't cash for us last week, we like them in this spot.

Detroit put up a pathetic effort in Week 1 against the Packers, but now they get a chance to bounce back against another divisional opponent.

There's been plenty of talk about the Ben Johnson "revenge game" narrative, as he faces his former team for the first time since becoming the Bears' head coach. But let's not ignore the other sideline - Dan Campbell isn't going to roll over here, especially after that embarrassing loss to Green Bay.

Campbell is a master motivator, and he knows how important these divisional games are. Starting 0-2 in the division would be a bad look, and you can bet he'll have his players ready. On top of that, I'm sure there's a little extra motivation for him not to lose to his former offensive coordinator.

Since 2022, the Lions are 12-4 against the spread (ATS) at home, the best mark in the NFL over that span. That trend makes this a strong bounce-back spot.

Give me the Lions at home to bounce back with an outright win.

Arizona Cardinals (-6.5 to -0.5) vs. Carolina Panthers

The Cardinals are another team we're targeting in back-to-back weeks as they return home to face the Panthers.

Coming into the season, Carolina was getting plenty of hype thanks to the way they closed last year. One of those late-season wins came against Arizona in overtime, and you can bet Kyler Murray and company have had this rematch circled on the calendar.

The Cardinals didn't look great last week, but they still got the cover and pulled out a 20-13 win over the Saints. Keep in mind, Murray was battling an illness that morning and still managed to get the job done. Now back to full health, he should lead a much sharper and more motivated team performance.
