One popular way bettors try to find value on NFL lines is by playing teasers. An NFL teaser is similar to a parlay; you add multiple legs that must all win for the bet to pay out. The key difference from parlays is that a teaser allows you to buy points - like 6.0, 6.5, or 7.0 - in a direction that lowers risk.
Teaser Tips to Follow:
- Never cross over 0
- Tease through two key numbers, ideally 3 & 7
- Tease games with lower totals, ideally anything 49 or fewer
Below are four teaser options for Week 4, along with my best teaser bet.

Week 4 Teaser Options
(Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook)
New York Jets (-7.5 to -1.5) vs. Denver Broncos
Last Thursday, Aaron Rodgers and the Jets looked like a true Super Bowl contender. Granted, it was against the Patriots, but it was nice to see Rodgers finally seem comfortable and put together. It was a great game.
On the other hand, Bo Nix and the Broncos also played their best game of the season, upsetting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as 6-point underdogs.
But don’t be fooled; Tampa Bay was due for some regression. The Jets have a three-day rest advantage coming off their Thursday Night win. They face a tired Broncos team that is set to play its third road game in four weeks.
Minnesota Vikings (+2.5 to +8.5) vs. Green Bay Packers
The Viking may be the biggest surprise thus far, entering Week 4 with an undefeated record of 3-0. Kevin O’Connell and Brian Flores have both sides of the ball humming as they each rank inside the top 10 in success rate.
Despite Green Bay possibly having Jordan Love back for this game, he may not be 100%. With Love coming off an MCL injury, he may not be as mobile in the pocket. Going up against a defense that leads the leagues in sacks and has the third-best defensive DVOA may be a tough matchup for the Packers quarterback.
This divisional game, with a lower total, should set up as a great teaser leg for the Vikings. With how well Sam Darnold is playing, I can’t see the Vikings getting blown out by more than a touchdown.
Kansas City Chiefs (-7 to -1) vs. Los Angeles Chargers
I am trying not to overthink this one. The Chargers could be very banged up for this divisional matchup. Justin Herbert, Joey Bosa and Joe Alt all left last week’s game with an injury and have practiced throughout the week. They will also be without star safety Derwin James after being suspended for one game.
While I think the Chiefs will be able to cover this 7-point spread, teasing them down to -1 is a bonus.
Best Bet: Week 4 6-Point Teaser
Chiefs -1/Jets -1.5 (-120 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
