NFL Week 6 Anytime Touchdown Scorer Odds & Picks (Sunday)

Last week, we found plenty of success with the Texans +2.5, Bengals ML, and Chiefs -3.5 in Week 5 of the NFL. Now, I’ll try to have my first undefeated week on the anytime touchdown bets! Let’s jump into my top anytime touchdown scorers in Week 6 of the NFL!

New Orleans Saints at Houston Texans

During the 2023 NFL Draft cycle, I was already a fan of Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud. So far in his NFL career, he's yet to throw an interception. Against a stingy Saints defense that only allows 183 passing yards per game, there's potential that Stroud throws his first career interception. Meanwhile, the Saints’ defense has seven interceptions this season, and that's tied for 3rd best in the NFL.

However, we're not here for interceptions; we're here for touchdowns. While the Saints’ defense has been stingy against the pass, the Texans’ defense has been very average against the run. They allow 112.4 rushing yards per game (per ESPN Stats), but the eight rushing touchdowns they've allowed this year are tied for 3rd worst in the NFL.

Through two games so far this season, Kamara has 33 carries for 131 yards and a touchdown. In addition, he's recorded 16 receptions through two games this year. The volume is there for Kamara to be a weekly starter in fantasy football. Meanwhile, he's got the ability to be effective anywhere on the field. Look for Kamara to find his way in the end zone for consecutive weeks.

Detroit Lions at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Despite being down St. Brown a week ago against the Panthers, the Lions didn't miss a beat. They still put up 42 points, and while they play a much tougher team in the Buccaneers, I'd expect St. Brown to be a key piece in the Lions’ offense. Through four games played, St. Brown has 35 targets, and that's led to 26 receptions for 331 yards and two touchdowns.

In addition to being a focal point for the offense, it's projected that St. Brown will run about half of his routes against Buccaneers cornerback Christian Izien. So far this season, Izien gives up about an 87% catch rate, so I'd expect St. Brown to be very active. With the Lions already being down running back Jahmyr Gibbs, there's also an expectation that they could be down tight end Sam LaPorta. Best case scenario is that LaPorta is active, but he could still be limited due to a calf injury. Look for St. Brown to find soft spots in the Bucs defense, and it should lead to plenty of production, including a touchdown.

Bet: Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown Anytime TD Scorer (+135)

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears

There's plenty of intrigue in this match-up between the Vikings and the Bears. Much of that is due to both teams having poor defenses that give up over 360+ total yards each. When looking at the Bears defense, they've got the 2nd worst pass defense in the NFL. Not just in yardage (295.2 passing yards allowed per game) but also in passing touchdowns (12 passing touchdowns allowed).

With the Vikings having to put receiver Justin Jefferson on the IR with a hamstring injury, I'd look for quarterback Kirk Cousins to spread the ball between Hockenson, Addison, Osborn, and Powell. However, I'd expect Cousins to really focus on Addison. In the early portion of the season, Cousins has found plenty of success when targeting Addison.

Through five games this season, Addison averaged about 6 targets per game, but he should expect an increase as he's expecting to become the team’s top wide receiver. Meanwhile, his three receiving touchdowns are tied for the most on the team with Justin Jefferson. In a get-right spot for the Vikings, this is a must-win, and they're going to rely on their first-round pick from the 2023 NFL Draft.
