Last week was a rough one for my anytime touchdown bets. I only hit three. On the bright side, two of the three had multiple touchdowns. And I hate to be that guy, but at least two other picks had touchdowns called back. But you are what your record says you are, and I have now had two losing weeks in a row. Let's get back on track with my anytime touchdown and first touchdown bets for Week 7.
As always, I am tracking these using bet sizes of 0.4 units on anytime touchdowns and 0.1 units on first touchdowns. Use your discretion and adjust as you see fit. We compare anytime touchdown stats to prop bet odds and projections to help identify this week's best bets. Here are all of our NFL Week 7 anytime TD scorer picks. I want to play things closer to the vest this week since I am in the red two weeks in a row. However, I see a lot of value in betting on a DeMario Douglas touchdown this week. Douglas has led the New England Patriots in targets and receptions in three out of the last four weeks. Patriots pass-catchers should get a boost now that rookie Drake Maye is leading the charge. And Douglas gets a great Week 7 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars rank dead last in both expected points added (EPA) and defense-adjusted value over average (DVOA) in pass defense and have allowed the most passing touchdowns in the NFL. Douglas has also caught 10 of his 13 targets versus man coverage. Jacksonville plays man coverage at the third-highest rate in the league. I like Douglas to find the end zone in this matchup.
