It’s Week 9 of the National Football League (NFL) regular season, and we have four teams on a bye - the Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That’s four teams that play their home games in outdoor venues, and three of those locations can be trouble spots at this time of year.
As we transition into November, we should see the weather problem areas start to pick up. For now, though, it looks like another solid game of mild temperatures and few venues impacted by precipitation and wind. Let’s dive into the NFL Week 9 weather report.

NFL Week 9 Weather Report: Advice & Predictions
(All forecasts courtesy of AccuWeather.com | Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook)
Chicago Bears (-2.5) at Cincinnati Bengals | Total 51.5
Forecast: 53 degrees, 10% chance of precipitation
Wind Speed: 4-6 MPH
The Queen City will have some coolish temperatures, and we should have a low cloud deck and gloomy conditions. However, the precipitation is expected to pull out of the area early in the morning, and we could even see some peaks of sunshine in the second half.
Atlanta Falcons at New England Patriots (-4.5) | Total 45.5
Forecast: 53 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind Speed: 6-8 MPH
The Falcons head outdoors to take on the Patriots, and it seems like old times again. New England is favored at home in November. What isn’t like old times is that we’ll have abundant sunshine and pleasant conditions on this fall day in Massachusetts.
Carolina Panthers at Green Bay Packers (-13.5) | Total 43.5
Forecast: 49 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind Speed: 16-18 MPH
The temperatures will be chilly, but there is no chance of precipitation. However, there will be a very brisk wind which will likely force both teams into more of a ground-based attack. The passing games will likely be affected greatly by a stiff wind, and you can expect the kicking game to an adventure for Brandon McManus and Ryan Fitzgerald, too.
Denver Broncos at Houston Texans (-1.5) | Total 40.5
Forecast: 72 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind Speed: 7-8 MPH
The Broncos and Texans could play with the roof open at NRG Stadium in Houston. The conditions will be rather pleasant, with no wind or precipitation to speak of. If not, it will be controlled environmental conditions. Either way, the weather isn’t impacting this one.
Los Angeles Chargers (-9.5) at Tennessee Titans | Total 43.5
Forecast: 51 degrees, 25% chance of precipitation
Wind Speed: 5-6 MPH
The Chargers head out of cozy, warm and indoor conditions to face the Titans outdoors. Showers impacted the Music City on Saturday night and will linger into Sunday morning. There is a chance of a stray shower early in this game, but nothing that should impact gameplay.
Indianapolis Colts (-3.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers | Total 50.5
Forecast: 60 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind Speed: 3-4 MPH
It will be a beautiful day of fall football in Steel City. The Colts step outside to take on the Steelers. Can you imagine if the Steelers ever played home games in a dome? I am pretty sure that would be the end of football as we know it.
San Francisco 49ers (-2.5) at New York Giants | Total 48.5
Forecast: 59 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind Speed: 5-6 MPH
The 49ers make the cross-country trek to take on the injury-depleted Giants, who allow more yards per rushing attempt than anybody else. There might be no precipitation in the area, but there’s a 100% chance of Christian McCaffrey seeing plentiful carries. Quarterback Mac Jones will make another start.
Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions (-8.5) | Total 47.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind Speed: This game is played in a dome
The Vikings and Lions are inside and away from the elements. Boo. The Lions have won five in a row in this series, and the over has cashed in four straight games, so it might be a high-scoring win for Detroit, which is good for its fantasy studs on offense.
New Orleans Saints at Los Angeles Rams (-14.5) | Total 43.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind Speed: This game is played in a dome
It’s time for the first NFL start of quarterback Tyler Shough’s career. Can you feel the anticipation? It will be indoors against a Rams team that has allowed just 6.4 yards per pass attempt, tied for fourth-best in the NFL, so it could be a slow go for the Saints’ offense despite the pristine conditions.
Jacksonville Jaguars (-2.5) at Las Vegas Raiders | Total 43.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind Speed: This game is played in a dome
The Jaguars hit the road for Sin City, and they’re hoping not to crap out. The Raiders get tight end Brock Bowers (knee) back from a multi-week injury, and that should help the home side get cooking on offense.
Kansas City Chiefs (-1.5) at Buffalo Bills | Total 52.5
Forecast: 45 degrees, 5% chance of precipitation
Wind Speed: 5-6 MPH
We get a marquee clash in western New York, and the weather conditions will be beautiful. Is this the last visit for quarterback Patrick Mahomes to Highmark Stadium? There is a better chance we see another matchup in the playoffs than there is we see any precipitation on Sunday.
Seattle Seahawks (-3) at Washington Commanders (Sunday Night) | Total 48
Forecast: 52 degrees, 5% chance of precipitation
Wind Speed: 4-6 MPH
On Sunday Night Football, the Seahawks and Commanders meet in the nation’s capital. It should be a tremendous weather night, dry, comfortable and a fast track under the lights.
Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys (-3) | Total 53.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind Speed: This game is played in a dome
The Cardinals have been fiddling around with the depth chart this week, particularly at the running back position, with practice squad running back Michael Carter taking most of the first-team reps in practice. It’s difficult to figure out what Arizona is doing offensively, but there is still a more than good chance that quarterback Jacoby Brissett and the offense move the ball on a beleaguered Dallas defense.
