It is one of the more exciting times of the year: the Stanley Cup playoffs. What makes the NHL have such a special playoff run is that sometimes, the best team doesn't always win. We have two games, and we'll look at the best same game parlays for each.
Wednesday's NHL Best Same Game Parlays

Boston Bruins at Florida Panthers
- Leg 1: Bruins Moneyline (+150)
- Leg 2: Under 5.5 Total Goals (-120)
- Leg 3: David Pastrnak Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (-160)
The Panthers got the early 1-0 lead in Game 1, but then it was all Bruins as they scored five unanswered goals to take the first game. They're getting the offense they need in the playoffs, especially from their stars with Brad Marchand having nine points (3G 6A), David Pastrnak having six (3G 3A), and Jake DeBrusk being the highlight of special teams by having three Power Play goals. The key component is the amazing play of Jeremy Swayman. Every year, we see that one dominant goalie, and this year, that is Swayman; he leads the remaining goaltenders with a 1.42 GAA, a .955 save percentage, and 13.2 goals saved above expected.
You could believe the Panthers had too much confidence after the upset win against Boston last year, or maybe it was rust from eight days off. One evident thing was that they weren't ready for this game. Boston's blue line was physical on the boards, putting pressure in their zone, and Florida was outmatched. They had 12 high danger chances in the third period, but that had a lot to do with playing with an empty net with five minutes left.
The Maple Leafs had one of the best offenses this season, and Swayman shut them down. You have to ride with him until proven otherwise.

Edmonton Oilers at Vancouver Canucks
- Leg 1: Oilers Moneyline (-130)
- Leg 2: Over 6 Total Goals (-118)
- Leg 3: Leon Draisaitl Over 0.5 Assists (-140)
It's been tough all season stopping Edmonton. Connor McDavid had 132 points in 76 games, Leon Draisaitl had 106, and Zach Hyman had 54 goals. That offense powered through Los Angeles' top-tier defense for 22 goals in five games, with Draisaitl and McDavid having 22 points. What could make them a title contender is that we saw Stuart Skinner step up at the end of the series and allow just four goals in the final three games, including a shutout.
The Canucks had a big three themselves play some excellent hockey in the last round. Brock Boeser had six points (4G 2A), J.T. Miller had six (1G 5A) and Quinn Hughes had five assists. At the same time, they did get some good netminding from their third-string goalie, Arturs Silovs. Overall, Vancouver did not play their best during that series against Nashville, with just a 47.34% expected goal share, and most of those games could have gone either way.
