Dylan Larkin Less Than 10.5 Faceoff Wins
The Red Wings have gotten significantly better since firing Derek Lalonde. They went on a seven-game winning streak, but they have taken a little bit of a slide and have lost back-to-back games. These last couple of losses have come against top-tier teams that feature some of the league's best goalies; that won't be the case for this game.
They will face the Flyers, who have one of the worst defenses this year. They are 28th in goals allowed per game. One stat where they actually do well is the faceoff where they are third in faceoff win percentage at full strength (52.6%). Larkin has missed this line in three straight including against Florida and Tampa Bay who are each in the bottom 12.
Zach Hyman Less Than 1.5 Shots On Goal Allowed
This start to the season wasn't as bad for the Oilers as last, but you say the expectations were higher as they brought back the core of this roster coming off a Stanley Cup Final appearance. We’re finally seeing the Oilers team that went to the Stanley Cup Finals last season. After going 6-7-1 in the landscape of the NHL, which sometimes could result in changes, they marched forward and turned things around. They are 21-6-1 since that rough start.
The offensive struggles were evident then, with Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid being the only two who were consistent from the start. Those are two of the best players in the league, but they still need that supporting cast of Zach Hyman and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins to produce. This will be one of the games to keep an eye on as it could be a Stanley Cup Finals preview. Hyman still continues to be inconsistent, and now he faces Washington, which is fantastic on both sides of the ice, including sixth in shots on goal allowed. Hyman has gone under this prop in three of his last four, including being blanked against the Kings.
