NHL Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks: Saturday (1/11)

We have 15 total games on the National Hockey League (NHL) slate on Saturday, meaning just two teams will not be in action - the Carolina Hurricanes and Detroit Red Wings.

The Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers drop the puck at 1:00 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN+, and we have two games starting at 4:00 p.m. ET. We’ll avoid those games to give you a little more time to formulate your parlays. We’ll focus on the Colorado Avalanche and Winnipeg Jets game at 7:00 p.m. ET, as that game is available on NHL Network. Our second game will be the New York Rangers and Vegas Golden Knights squaring off at 10:00 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

These same-game parlays (SGPs) come with +400 odds or higher.

Below, we feature solid NHL same-game parlays for tonight’s matchups. Perhaps you can mix and match with some NFL Wild Card matchups, NBA contests or games from another full weekend of college basketball.

Let’s get started.

Colorado Avalanche at Winnipeg Jets

The Avalanche (26-16-1) and the Jets (28-12-3) meet at Canada Life Centre for the third meeting of the season between these Western Conference foes.

The Jets got off to a tremendous start this season, and they were able to ease by the Avalanche 1-0 as a moderate favorite (-140) with Connor Hellebuyck turning aside all 35 shots he faced in that home victory on November 7th. Gabriel Vilardi scored a goal just 66 seconds into the game, which ended up as the only goal of the game.

The Avalanche won the most recent meeting on New Year’s Eve, topping the Jets 5-2 in Denver. However, it should be noted that backup goaltender Eric Comrie was the starter, not Hellebuyck. The latter was coming off a 3-0 shutout the night before against the Nashville Predators, so Colorado’s victory looks a little less impressive.

For Winnipeg, it is coming off a 2-1 loss in overtime, with Comrie again in between the pipes. Connor Hellebuyck (25-6-2, 2.08 GAA, .926 SV%, five shutouts) is confirmed and ready to go for Saturday’s game. The Jets are 1-2-2 in the past five games, and the offense is good for 2.6 goals per game (GPG) in that span while allowing 3.4 GPG. The over has cashed in four of the past five outings.

Colorado is coming off a 6-1 thrashing of the Minnesota Wild in St. Paul behind Mackenzie Blackwood. He is likely to get the starting nod again on Saturday against the Jets. He kicked aside 20 of the 22 shots he faced in the 5-2 win against Comrie and the Jets on New Year’s Eve. In that game, Artturi Lehkonen, Devon Toews and Casey Mittelstadt scored even-strength goals, while Mikko Rantanen and Ross Colton tacked on empty-net markers. Those two goals in the final 89 seconds of regulation flipped the under to an over result.

Let’s back the Jets to get the job done at home behind Hellebuyck, while we’ll go low on the total. As far as player props are concerned, Vilardi has scored in each of the two meetings with the Avalanche this season, so let’s roll the dice on him as an anytime goal scorer (+210) for the chance to more than double up.

New York Rangers at Vegas Golden Knights

The Rangers (19-20-2) and the Golden Knights (28-10-3) square off at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with the puck drop scheduled for 10:00 p.m. ET. The game can be viewed or streamed on ESPN+.

New York has had an ever-so-slight resurgence lately, as it tries to piece things together and save its season. Nobody expected the Blueshirts to be a game under .500 at this juncture, or really, any juncture. The Rangers topped the New Jersey Devils 3-2 in overtime on Thursday, as Igor Shesterkin returned from an upper-body injury to pick up the win. Adam Fox and Artemi Panarin notched power-play goals in regulation, while Sam Carrick posted the winner in the extra session.

The Rangers are 3-1-1 in the past five games, picking up seven out of a possible 10 points. The over has cashed in three of the past four games and five of the past seven, with New York averaging 4.3 GPG in their past four outings and allowing 4.1 GPG in the previous eight outings.

Vegas is licking its wounds after a 4-0 setback against the New York Islanders on Thursday. The under has cashed in each of the past three outings while going 5-1 in the past six games. The Golden Knights have had difficulty lighting the lamp lately, going for just 17 goals in their past six games (2.8 GPG). However, they have allowed only 1.9 GPG over their previous 10 outings. It’s no surprise the under is 3-0 in their past three games, 5-1 in the past six and 13-4 in the past 17 contests.

Let’s roll the dice on Mark Stone anytime goal scorer (+180), too. It’s not a bad play to take him straight up, but also toss Stone in with the Golden Knights Moneyline, while going low on the total. Stone has scored in three of his past four games, posting three goals and five points with a +5 rating on 12 shots on goal (SOG) in four January games. Let’s back Stone’s SOG prop, too, playing a conservative 2+ SOG (-220) prop for a little extra money on our four-leg parlay.
