Florida Panthers at New York Rangers
- Leg 1: Panthers Moneyline (-115)
- Leg 2: Under 5.5 Total Goals (-112)
- Leg 3: Mathew Tkachuk Over 0.5 Assists (+114)
The Panthers are rolling as they have the chance to go to back-to-back Stanley Cup Finals. Sergei Bobrovsky has been incredible for the second straight year in the playoffs, with 2.37 goals allowed. He locked down one of the best offenses in the league in Tampa Bay and another offense in Boston that had four 50-point players. They also wouldn't be here if it weren't for those top forwards, with Matthew Tkachuk having 14 points, Carter Verhaeghe having six goals, and Aleksander Barkov and Sam Reinhart each having five.
This will be the toughest defensive matchup they have seen in the Rangers. Igor Shesterkin has been having a phenomenal postseason, allowing 2.40 goals against and 8.8 goals saved above expected. They've also been brilliant on special teams as they're 31.4% on the Power Play and 89.5% on the Penalty Kill. These aspects have gotten to this point because their even-strength offense has been abysmal at a 46.88% expected goal share, and if this becomes an offensive-centric series, New York will not have the firepower to keep up.
Although the Rangers are the top seed and Presidents' Cup winner, they are home underdogs. It's undeniable because the Panthers are better, especially on the offensive end. Down the line, New York could adjust to Florida's group of forwards, but tonight, they will get caught off guard. The Panthers are 4-1 on the road in the postseason and 1-0-1 in Madison Square Garden this year.
