College Football Bets

Florida vs. Kentucky

The Gators have the most impressive win of the two teams playing in this game, but that's not preventing bettors and oddsmakers from backing the Wildcats. We haven't seen the Gators play on the road since their Week 1 loss to the Utah Utes. But based on what has occurred on the field since that game, the Gators are the better team, even if not by a wide margin. They struggled last week against the Charlotte 49ers, but they were also coming down off a huge win over the Tennessee Volunteers. Meanwhile, the Wildcats gave up 28 to Vanderbilt. The Commodores have scored a lot this season, but their offensive success has been against the likes of Hawaii and UNLV. The point is, this Wildcats' defense isn't very good. Giving up 293.3 yards per game with their schedule is a huge red flag. And the Gators are averaging 412.5 per game. Wildcats' quarterback Devon Leary doesn't give them the quarterback advantage they need to win this game. SEC road games are never easy, but Graham Mertz has a great matchup, and his defense will prevent the Wildcats from doing much of anything.

Pick: Florida ML (+100)

NFL Best Bets

Jessie Bates III Over 6.5 Tackles + Assists (+114)

One of my favorite bets of this game at a great price is Jessie Bates III to record over 6.5 tackles + assists. Bates III is a newcomer on this Atlanta defense, as he received a big contract in the offseason to join this Falcons team. However, he's instantly stepping in as a leader and top playmaker on this defense, along with Grady Jarrett. He seems to have his nose in every play, run or pass. He's hit 10+ tackles and assists in two out of three games so far this season.

Jacksonville will look to throw the ball a lot on Sunday, and Bates should be near these receivers and Evan Engram on a lot of routes to help make tackles. Take Bates over 6.5 tackles + assists with confidence, as I see him going into double digits on this prop once again.

MLB Best Bets

Texas Rangers (+116) vs. Seattle Mariners (-134) | 7.5 (-102/120)

The A.L. West division is the most intriguing race, as only two of the three teams will punch their tickets to the playoff. Heading into Saturday, the Rangers lead the way at 89-71 (.556), while the Astros (88-72) and Mariners (87-73) trail by 1.0 and 2.0 games, respectively. First pitch for this pivotal matchup between the Rangers and Mariners is set for 7:15 p.m. ET from T-Mobile Park in Seattle, WA.

Andrew Heaney heads to the bump tonight, while Luis Castillo gets the nod for the M's. I'm simply going to treat this like a divisional playoff game and take the under 7.5 runs.

Look for Castillo to set the pace here and turn in a solid outing. The right-hander comes into this one at 14-8 and owns a 3.20 ERA and 1.06 WHIP. Those numbers dip to 2.81 and 0.93 when throwing at T-Mobile Park. The bottom line is that Castillo was in line to win the Cy Young just a few weeks ago, and I think he brings his best stuff here. I'm riding with the under in this spot.

Bet: Under 7.5 (-120)
