The WNBA is back in action tonight with three games: Los Angeles Sparks vs. Connecticut Sun, Las Vegas Aces vs. Indiana Fever, and Seattle Storm vs. Chicago Sky. Between the betting line and full player prop menus, bettors have options, which is why we've created our WNBA Picks and Best Bets for Storm vs. Sky.
Thursday's Best WNBA Picks & Bets: Storm vs. Sky
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Seattle Storm (-9.5) vs. Chicago Sky (+350), O/U 155.5 (-105/-115)
This game should be an easy win for Seattle. Key phrase: should be. But we don't know yet whether Skylar Diggins will be in the lineup. Without her, the offense was certainly lacking in their last game vs. a poor Dallas Wings defense. The team has said it 'hopes' to have her back, which makes it seem like the chances are 50-50.
However, they could be fine anyway. They'll still have plenty of talent on the court against a poor Chicago team that will be missing a very important piece to their puzzle, Ariel Atkins. She is the team's leading scorer with just 13.9 points per. Without her, it falls to Angel Reese to carry the offense.
Reese is a capable scoring threat, but not good enough to carry an offense.
With or without Diggins in the lineup for Seattle, this will likely be a low-scoring game. I'd expect Seattle to score in the high 70s/low 80s and for Chicago to top out in the mid-70s. Seattle will probably cover the spread if Diggins plays, but I wouldn't count on them to if she does not.
Pick: Under 156.5 Total Points (-115)
