Boston Red Sox (-164) at Colorado Rockies (+138) | O/U 11 (-105/-115)
The Red Sox (32-45) and the Rockies (31-49) meet at Coors Field in Denver on Wednesday for this Interleague series finale at 3:10 p.m. ET. The winner will take the series, too. Colorado won 3-2 in Monday’s series opener, with the under (11.5) easily cashing. Boston won 5-2 on Tuesday, as the under (10.5) also connected.
Boston turns to lefty Ranger Suarez (3-3, 2.93 ERA, 1.12 WHIP) for the series finale. He’ll be opposed by lefty Kyle Freeland (1-7, 7.36 ERA, 1.58 WHIP). The pitching scales are severely tipped in favor of the Red Sox. The Rockies are just 7-14 versus lefties this season, and the Red Sox are 9-9 against lefties.
Let’s back the Red Sox to get the win, and we’ll stick with the under, based on the results of the first two games.
Picks: Red Sox Moneyline (-164) & Under 11 Runs (-115)
Seattle Mariners (-102) at Pittsburgh Pirates (-116) | O/U 7.5 (-118/-102)
The Mariners (41-39) and the Pirates (39-40) meet in the middle contest of a three-game Interleague series at PNC Park on Wednesday evening. First pitch is set for 6:40 p.m. ET.
Seattle won the opener 3-2 as a moderate favorite, and the under (8.5) cashed. The Mariners are looking to win a third straight game for the first time since rattling off eight straight victories from May 25th to June 2nd.
The under has cashed in three in a row, too, and the Mariners have scored three or fewer runs in nine straight outings, averaging just 2.4 runs per game. They have allowed just 20 runs in the past seven outings (2.9 runs per game).
For the Pirates, they’ve dropped three of their past four outings, while the under is 3-1 during that span. In the three losses, the Pirates have averaged two runs per game. Pittsburgh turns to righty Braxton Ashcraft (6-3, 3.18 ERA, 1.10 WHIP). He is 3-1 with a 3.40 ERA in eight home starts. He has struggled in his three June starts, though, going 1-1 with a 5.06 ERA.
The Mariners counter with righty Bryan Woo (6-5, 3.94 ERA, 1.00 WHIP). He has been a disaster away from the Pacific Northwest, going 1-5 with a 5.93 ERA and 1.32 WHIP across 44 innings in eight road starts. Woo is 5-0 with a 2.00 ERA and 0.69 WHIP in 45 innings across seven starts in Seattle.
Based on Woo’s splits, let’s roll with the Pirates to get the job done, and we’ll also take the over.
Picks: Pirates Moneyline (-116) & Over 7.5 Runs (-118)
Los Angeles Dodgers (-176) at Minnesota Twins (+148) | O/U 7.5 (-115/-105)
The Dodgers (51-29) and Twins (38-43) wrap up a three-game Interleague series at Target Field in Minneapolis. The Dodgers eased by the Twins 2-1 as moderate favorites, as the under (9.5) cashed on Monday. They routed the Twins 12-3 on Tuesday as heavier favorites, while the over (9.0) came through. L.A. now goes for the series sweep.
Dodgers righty Shohei Ohtani (7-2, 1.47 ERA, 0.88 WHIP) looks to keep it on cruise control against Twins righty Joe Ryan (5-3, 2.99 ERA, 1.00 WHIP). The 30-year-old Ryan has managed a 2-0 record, 3.13 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in 23 innings across four starts in June.
Los Angeles has posted a 19-10 record in Interleague games, while Minnesota has managed a 9-17 mark versus National League teams. The pitching matchup is impressive, and Ryan will keep the Twins in it, but let’s back the Dodgers to get the job done, and we’ll go low on the total. Runs should be at quite a premium.
Picks: Dodgers Moneyline (-176) & Under 7.5 Runs (-105)
