I feel refreshed by the break as evidenced by my 4-2-2 record and I am once again here breaking down the top picks on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays this season. If you’re a regular you this column, you know all about RICKEA JACKSON OVER 12.5 POINTS. ANY TEAM. ANY TIME. ANY PLACE. I said after the Sparks’ last game, maybe her nickname should be Life because as Jurassic Park taught us, “Life finds a way.” I had the pleasure of watching the aforementioned Miss Jackson in person last night against the Mystics and her majesty dropped 10 points in the first quarter and 16 at halftime, easily cashing her points line once again, this time about as early as she ever has, and added “Washington, D.C./Entertainment & Sports Arena” to the ever-growing list of “Any Team. Any Time. Any Place.” At this point, I’m waiting for archeologists to unearth some marble tablet with “Rickea Jackson Over 12.5 Points” chiseled in it because it has to be written in stone somewhere.

Saturday’s Best WNBA Picks

Indiana Fever (+195) at Minnesota Lynx (-5.5) | O/U 166.5 (-110/-110)
This pick is pretty simple. Minnesota is coming off of a game last night against the Aces that wasn’t decided until the 4th quarter despite the final score. Indiana has not played since last Sunday. They will have fresher legs and Caitlin Clark & Co. already try to turn every game into a track meet. No reason to think they wouldn’t go even harder against a likely more gassed opponent.
The Lynx are awesome and are arguably they best team in the W outside of the juggernaut Liberty but I expect that Indiana’s freshness will manifest itself in the 4th quarter as 80 minutes of basketball in 24 hours catches up to the Lynx.
On zero days rest this season, Minnesota is 1-0 and scored 92 points in a 92-79 win over the Atlanta Dream back on May 26 after beating the Liberty 84-67 the night before. On 6+ days rest, Indiana is 1-0 this season and scored 98 points in a 98-89 home victory in their first game back from the Olympic break in August 16. Minnesota faces a similar situation to their last no-rest game in having played a tough Vegas squad last night. However, the Fever, even at the Target Center, are a much tougher opponent than the Atlanta Dream.
I got in at +215 last night during the aforementioned Aces/Lynx game’s fourth quarter when the final outcome was still slightly within doubt. Not even minutes later it was bet down to +205 and the line went from 6.0 to 5.5. As of Saturday morning, this moneyline has been juiced down to +195 and dropping so if you want on, better to jump on sooner and get max value.
