Sunday’s Top 5 WNBA Player Prop Bet

Sabrina Ionescu Over 6.5 Assists (-120)

The Liberty are coming off a major road win yesterday, taking down the Connecticut Sun and giving them their first loss of the season. In another early start for New York, they travel back home to take on a Washington team that is winless on the season.

The Liberty guard has only exceeded 5.5 assists on three occasions this season (once against Washington). Those contests featured Courtney Vandersloot, who currently does not have an official designation. However, she could be in danger of missing her third game in a row due to personal reasons.

Ionescu played 34 minutes and scored 24 points against the Sun, including a clutch bucket that secured the lead going into the final minute of the game.

Given the opponent and the quick turn-around after an extremely tough battle, this could be more of a passive contest for the Oregon star.

The Mystics allow just under 20 assists per game and give up the fourth most points across the league.

Diana Taurasi Higher 14.5 Points (-115)

Taurasi has been having a bit of a cold spell regarding shooting over the last two games. After going completely off for 31 points against Los Angeles, she is averaging an abysmal 23 percent from the field on 31 attempts in those contests.

A matchup with the Dallas Wings could be exactly what the veteran guard needs to get back in proper shooting form. Not only does this team give up the second most points and field goals in the league, their opponent’s shooting efficiency rating is just under 48%.

These teams rank tied for third and fourth in pace, so expect there to be a ton of shots going up in this one. Opportunity will always be the best path to success, and Taurasi should see an ample amount today.

Nneka Ogwumike Higher 7.5 Rebounds (-110)

The off-season addition of Ogwumike has been nothing short of excellent, as the team is heading into this contest on the wings of a six-game win streak. The task will no doubt be a difficult one against a tenacious Minnesota defense.

We just feel this total may be a bit low for such a prolific rebounder against a team that is averaging over 37 rebounds to opponents.
The Seattle forward only needed 28 minutes of playing time to grab 11 boards against a very formidable rebounding team in the Las Vegas Aces in her last game.

Beyond Napheesa Collier, Minnesota does not have many options who are proficient in pulling down missed shots off the glass.

Ogwumike has only fallen short of eight rebounds three times this season (all in a row). These two teams have already faced off twice earlier in the year, where the veteran forward secured nine and 11 boards.

Cameron Brink Lower 8.5 Points (-120)

The rookie from Stanford looked sensational last game, finishing with a double-double (10/10), two steals, and two blocks. The reward for this performance is a game against one of the best defensive teams in the league, who are coming off a loss on Friday.

Before the 10-point performance, Brink failed to surpass eight points in four straight games, shooting only 30 percent from the field.

Las Vegas is fifth in defensive rating, fourth in opposing field-goal percentage, allows the least amount of points in the paint per game and averages 5.3 blocks.

The Los Angeles forward has also been in foul trouble. In the last three games, she has accrued at least five fouls, including one game with six.

A'ja Wilson Higher 28.5 Points (-125)

The Aces will be looking to bounce back after a tough loss against Seattle on Friday. With Jackie Young set to miss this contest with an illness, Las Vegas will be looking to their best scoring option to take advantage of one of the league's more inefficient defenses.

Opponents are scoring over 82 points per game against Los Angeles, averaging over 43 percent shooting from the field, and the team has a defensive rating over 100. It's hard to imagine the Sparks stopping Wilson from scoring at least 30 points in this contest.

The Las Vegas forward has scored at least 28 points or more in the last five contests, averaging 32.5 over the last two and shooting
54 percent.

Considering the 18+ points off the board due to Jackie Young being out, along with Wilson having a 34 percent usage rate, we expect a decent portion of that to go to the top-scorer for the Aces.
