The WNBA season is well underway and the storylines have been intriguing to follow. Each week I'll be hitting you with the best WNBA player props of the day. Remember that lineup changes and injury news is an ever-evolving beast that needs to be tracked constantly if you want to stay ahead of the market. Another way is by shopping around for the best odds. Different books will have different odds. The difference between -110 and +100 may seem small but over the entire season, those little differences add up quickly. Now let's get to today's best bets.

Marina Mabrey Under 14.5 points (-110)
This is simply not a great matchup for the Sky or for Marina Mabrey, and I'll be riding a lot of unders on the Chicago side of things for this game. Mabrey is Chicago's leading scorer this season with over 15 points a game. For Chicago, they attempt the fewest number of threes a game which isn't great for the Sun, who allow the lowest number of opponent scoring from beyond the arc in the league. Considering Mabrey attempts nearly seven looks from deep a game, I simply don't see her getting the shot attempts off to reason a high-scoring affair from her. Overall, the Sun boasts the most efficient defense in the league so far and is the slowest-paced team, so even if Chicago comes with a solid game plan, the opportunity simply won't be there for Mabrey. It is a low point total considering her seasonal averages, but I love this bet here.
Alyssa Thomas Over 9.5 rebounds (-140)
I'll lead by emphasizing shopping around for the best odds or alternate boards because it's never fun to bet a juiced line around like what -140 has to offer. Still, I don't get why this line is below single digits. Thomas has been averaging over 10 boards per game on the season, and this is an opportunity to shine. As mentioned before, the Sun boasts the best defense in the league and lines up well with the Sky's offensive game plan. The Sun will slow down Chicago, but the Sky is the third fastest team in league pace, so the Sky will only speed up the Sun, allowing more opportunities for Thomas to get hers. The Sun is the best rebounding team in the W as well, and the Sky is the single worst defensive rebounding team in the country, which leads me to believe Thomas is going to be a force on the offensive glass tonight in case you want to bet her points and rebounds combo with the number of expected put backs she'll likely get in tonight's game.
