Napheesa Collier Under 22.5 Points + Assists (-115 at Fanatics Sportsbook)
That's right, folks, I'm fading Napheesa Collier tonight, and honestly, I'm feeling pretty good about it. Minnesota hosts Golden State tonight for what could be a WNBA Finals preview, with Minnesota and Golden State the top two teams in the standings.
These two squads recently squared off, with the Lynx winning 77-66. It was a hard-fought battle, but you can see how low-scoring the affair was. Collier barely managed 18 combined points + assists, and Golden State’s defense travels well. More importantly, the Valkyries play at the slowest pace of play in the entire league, so by simple means of opportunity, I don't expect Collier to get there.
Of course, Collier is incredibly talented and capable of an efficient outing, but I struggle to see it that way. Both teams are defensively focused, and I trust Golden State’s defense to handle the opposing offense enough to limit Minnesota's star. I'm in on a lot of unders here, but Collier's feels the most overpriced.
Angel Reese Over 33.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-125 at FanDuel Sportsbook)
On the other side, I'm all about the overs for Atlanta tonight. The Los Angeles Sparks host the Dream as Atlanta tries to work their way up the standings. The Dream sit around 8.5-point road favorites, and I don't think that's enough.
The Sparks are 3-12 over their last 15 games, and a lot of that is due to poor defense. They rank in the bottom three in defensive rating, and that number doesn't get better when playing at home.
For Angel Reese, she gets a lot of buzz but she stands by it. This is a line she's covered in four straight games. Against a subpar offense that plays at the second-fastest pace of play in the league when playing at home, I can't imagine this prop staying where it is for long.
The Sparks also rank 11th in rebounding rate, so Reese should continue feasting on the boards as she has done all season.
