WNBA Player Props & Bets: Thursday (8/28)

WNBA Picks & Predictions: Monday (6/1)

We have three matchups this evening, and four of the six teams are playing every day to either make the playoffs or determine their seed. The Chicago Sky are in a tight race with the Dallas Wings for last place, and the Minnesota Lynx have a comfortable (albeit not solidified) spot as the No. 1 seed.

Only two games separate the 2 through 5 seeds, with the Liberty and Mercury included in that bunch. The Storm are fighting to hold onto the 8-seed, while the Mystics are looking to keep their playoff hopes alive.

It’s coming down to the wire. Let’s see which props to target in these important games.

Monday’s Best WNBA Player Props, Bets & Picks

Nneka Ogwumike Under 16.5 Points (+118 Novig)

Ogwumike has been excellent of late, crossing this mark in four of the last five games, but now the Storm head to Minneapolis to face the Lynx. Minnesota is 18-1 at home this season and continues to rank first in limiting opponent points while leading the league in the same category. Ogwumike has gone over this line in two of three previous matchups, but the last one came against a Napheesa Collier-less Lynx squad, and she only reached 11 in their sole trip to the Target Center this season. I love the plus money here.

Kiki Iriafen Under 25.5 Points + Assists + Rebounds (-118 FanDuel)

In any other year, we would be having such a fun conversation about WNBA Rookie of the Year, and Iriafen would be front and center, along with teammate Sonia Citron. Unfortunately, that award is basically over with Paige Bueckers in the league. Iriafen has been amazing, but she does better categorically at home than on the road, and the Barclays Center is one of the toughest environments in the W. This is a lofty number to ask Iriafen to top against a Liberty team back to full strength, at home, and fighting for a playoff seed. I don’t see it happening.

Kayla McBride Over 2.5 Three-Pointers Made (+120 DraftKings)

This play is entirely about capitalizing on the odds. McBride has crossed this mark in her last three games, and the Minnesota offense is back to full strength, which means spreading the floor and raining threes down on opponents. Seattle is good at limiting opponent three-point attempts, but they are somehow ninth in opponent three-point percentage. Basically, if McBride gets a few open looks, I think we can cash a nice +120 this evening.
