WNBA Player Props & Bets: Tuesday (5/27)

WNBA Player Props & Bets: Wings vs. Sun (Friday)

I'm It's going to be a busy day in the WNBA with five games on the schedule. With many of the league's best players taking the court, it's also a great day for betting on WNBA player props. But, with so many to choose from, which should you go with? Which are the best? Now, I'm not saying these are a lock (because 'locks' don't truly exist in betting), but the following are some of the top WNBA player props and bets for Tuesday, May 27.

Tuesday's Best WNBA Player Props & Bets

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook, unless otherwise stated)

    Dallas Wings at Connecticut Sun

Paige Bueckers is still working on finding her game in the WNBA, which will not be easy to do on one of the worst teams in the league. However, maybe she can when playing against one of the other cellar dwellers? I'm not counting on it.

It doesn't seem like developing their No. 1 draft pick is a priority. Dallas has yet to find something to build around on either end of the court. However, Bueckers is a talented player, and she'll have one of her better games of the season against a poor Connecticut team. Still, she'll fall short in one category and of the combo total in the end.

Pick: Paige Bueckers Under 25.5 Pts + Reb +Ast (-118)

Golden State Valkyries at New York Liberty

Initially, I was a little hesitant about this market. Yes, Sabrina Ionescu is a prolific scorer who is capable of putting up 20 points on any given night, but she only scored eight points against the Aces in the opener and 16 points against the worst defense in the WNBA (Chicago). Golden State is not your typical expansion team. The Valkyries are 2-1 and the owners of the third-best defense in the league (77 ppg allowed).

However, then she blew up for 23 points against an Indiana team that is playing solid defense. It may take her until late in the fourth quarter, but Ionescu will go over 16.5 points tonight.

Pick: Sabrina Ionescu Over 16.5 Points (+105 at bet365)

    Seattle Storm at Minnesota Lynx

I saw this market listed at 3.5 rebounds Sunday night and wish I had put money down right then and there. Courtney Williams is not necessarily a rebounding machine, but she has been good for five in her last three games (had four in the opener). Seattle is ranked second-to-last in rebounding (32.5 per game). I like this one better at 3.5, but Williams has been a consistent rebounder.

She'll get the job done tonight.

Pick: Courtney Williams Over 4.5 Rebounds (-108)

Atlanta Dream at Los Angeles Sparks

Rhyne Howard has scored more than 20 points just once in five games this season. It happened to be in the only game where she hit a respectable percentage of her shots, 47.1% vs. Indiana. In every other game, she has struggled to make her shots, hitting only 16.7-29.4% of her attempts. The Sparks don't have a fabulous defense, but it isn't awful (81 ppg allowed, ninth in the league).

With the offense going through Allisha Gray, Howard will have to create her own shots, and that hasn't been going well for her this year.

Pick: Rhyne Howard Under 20.5 Points (-185 at BetMGM)

    Chicago Sky at Phoenix Mercury

Ariel Atkins is a solid player on both ends of the court, but the Sky are struggling so badly on the offensive end that it doesn't matter how good she or anyone else is. The team lacks direction, focus, and an apparent plan on offense, which will hinder anyone’s success. Chicago does not have one player averaging in double digits. Atkins always did during her days in Washington, but don't count on it happening here anytime soon.

So far, she has scored 11, eight, and nine points. Expect the same or less in this game.

Pick: Ariel Atkins Under 11.5 Points (-130)
