Tuesday’s Best WNBA Player Props & Bets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Brittney Sykes Over 16.5 Points (-120)
Brittney Sykes is in the middle of a brutal three-game stretch. She has scored eight or fewer points in each contest, despite playing at least 23 minutes in each game. She has shot 37.5% or worse from the field in each game, and she hasn't made a three-pointer during the stretch. In her last game, she scored just seven points on 2-of-9 shooting.
However, if there were ever a time for Sykes to break out, this is it. This is a player who is averaging 17.9 points per game this season. In all, Sykes has nine 20-point games, and though she has struggled recently, she scored 32 points against the Sky on June 17th. In that game, she shot 54.2% from the field. She also put up a season-high 24 shot attempts, and while I highly doubt she hits that number tonight, the total is set to give her enough of a cushion to break out of her funk and easily hit this over.
Angel Reese Under 13.5 Rebounds (+105)
If you've been betting Angel Reese overs for rebounds, you're very happy entering tonight's game. Reese has pulled down at least 16 rebounds in five consecutive games, bringing her season average to 12.8 per contest. However, I believe Reese's hot streak is going to come to an end tonight.
When she faced the Mystics on June 17th, she pulled down just 10 rebounds in 35 minutes. While some may say the Mystics got lucky in that game, they've been great at preventing rebounds all season long. They rank third in the league in rebounds allowed per game, giving up just 32.9 per contest. One of the teams that ranks ahead of them is the Atlanta Dream, a team that Reese grabbed 19 boards against on June 22nd. Yet, while Reese can clean up the glass against anyone, the price for this under is simply too good to pass up considering the matchup.
Sabrina Ionescu Over 2.5 Three-Pointers Made (-110)
The Aces and Liberty haven't met since the first game of the season. In that contest, the Liberty won by 14, but they shot terribly from deep, managing to make just four of their 21 attempts from beyond the arc. Sabrina Ionescu was 0-of-5 in that game.
Since that game, Ionescu has been much better from beyond the arc. She is averaging 2.7 made three-pointers per contest and is shooting 33.8% from deep. She has also made at least three three-pointers in three consecutive games. On Sunday, she went 5-of-11 from deep against the Seattle Storm.
Though the Aces shut down the Liberty earlier this season, they have one of the worst three-point defenses in the league. They're allowing opponents to make 34.3% of their shots from deep, the fourth-worst mark in the league. With how Ionescu has been shooting, look for her to take advantage of a very good matchup.
