WNBA Same Game Parlay: Tuesday’s Top Picks

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Dallas Wings @ Atlanta Dream WNBA Same Game Parlay

  • Leg 1: Dallas Wings +5.5 (-108)
  • Leg 2: Over 169.5 Points (-110)
  • Leg 3: Rhyne Howard To Score 20+ Points (-120)

The Dallas Wings split a pair of games with the Chicago Sky at home to open the season, winning 87-79 in the opener to cover as 7.5-point favorites while falling 83-74 in the rematch as a 4.5-point favorite. The Wings also split the Over-Under in those games. The sample size is rather low, but the Wings allowed 81.0 points per game (PPG) in the two outings, and it looks like we’ll have some wide-open basketball in Big D this season.

For the Atlanta Dream, they rolled up a 92-81 win on the road against the Los Angeles Sparks to open the season, cashing as 4.0-point favorites, while losing 88-85 on the road against the Phoenix Mercury as 2.5-point favorites. The Over cashed in each outing, averaging 88.5 PPG on offense while allowing 84.5 PPG on defense. It’s end-to-end action and a “dream” for Over bettors.

We thought about going with Tina Charles To Score 15+ Points (+134) here for a more lucrative parlay, but Rhyne Howard To Score 20+ Points (120) is a safer, more conservative play. Charles opened with a monster game in L.A., going for 21 points and 14 rebounds, but she fizzled in the Valley of the Sun with just six points in 27 minutes due to foul trouble. Howard has been more consistent, going for 25 against the Sparks with three triples while posting 21 points and nine boards with five 3-pointers in the win in Phoenix.

Truth be told, this will be a high-scoring game, and including both Charles and Howard could be a winning combination, too. If you’re the adventurous type, go with both players is an SGP worth +1070. We’ll leave Charles out, however, as the foul trouble and single-digit point total last time out were concerning.

Washington Mystics @ Los Angeles Sparks WNBA Same Game Parlay

  • Leg 1: Los Angeles Sparks -2 (-110)
  • Leg 2: Over 159.5 (-110)
  • Leg 3: Lexie Brown To Score 10+ Points (-325)
  • Leg 4: Lexie Brown Over 1.5 3-Pointers Made (-152)
  • Leg 5: Cameron Brink Under 6.5 Rebounds (+102)

On the heels of hitting a five-leg parlay in the Game 7 NHL game between the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks, let’s get a little crazy in the late-night game in WNBA, too.

It’s not as crazy as you think, however. The Sparks have dropped a pair of games to start, including 92-81 at home in the opener against the Atlanta Dream. But this Sparks team can roll on offense and will be a problem for the visiting Mystics. Washington is winless itself, so something’s gotta give. Lean to the home side.

Defensively, Washington has allowed at least 84 points in each of its three games, all losses, while scoring at least 75 points. It’s been end-to-end action for the Mystics. The same holds true for the Sparks, cashing the Over in each of their two games to date. L.A. has averaged 81.5 PPG while coughing up 90.5 PPG in the two losses to Atlanta and Las Vegas. We should have a fun one in the late window.

As far as the players are concerned, Sparks guard Lexie Brown has averaged 12.0 PPG in the two games to date, including 16 points against the defending champion Aces on Saturday. She has knocked down three triples, including two on Saturday. She is a good bet to get into double digits, and if she does so, it will be due to her sharpshooting from behind the arc, so combine those two props.

Looking to the rookie Cameron Brink, the No. 2 overall pick went for 11 points and two rebounds in her WNBA debut last Wednesday against Atlanta. She managed three points and eight boards in Las Vegas in the loss on Saturday. Each game, Brink has gotten into foul trouble, posting four personals in 25 minutes in Vegas, while fouling out in 20 minutes against the Dream in her debut. If she can’t stay on the floor, she can’t clean the glass, and that’s the thinking here.
