WNBA Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks: Tuesday (5/28)

The WNBA schedule has three games on tap for Tuesday night, including the league’s only unbeaten team, the Connecticut Sun, in action. Both Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese are in action, too, although they’re not facing each other.

The Phoenix Mercury match up with the Connecticut Sun, with a tip time of 7 p.m., and the game can be viewed on CBS Sports Network. The Los Angeles Sparks and Indiana Fever meet for the second time in less than a week, tipping off at 7 p.m. on NBA TV. And lastly, the Seattle Storm and the Chicago Sky tangle at 8 p.m. (All times EST)

Los Angeles Sparks at Indiana Fever

The Sparks (1-4) travel to Indianapolis to battle the Fever (1-6) at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Tuesday night. The Fever posted a 78-73 win as a 1.5-p0int favorite on Friday night at Crypto.com Arena, as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Caitlin Clark, picked up her first-career victory against the Sparks.

On Friday, the Fever shot just 42.0% (29-of-69) from the field, and 28.0% (7-of-25) from behind the 3-point line, but they managed to take good care of the orange-and-white basketball. Indiana turned it over just 10 times, while Los Angeles had 18 turnovers. The shooting numbers were about the same, so the turnovers were the difference. L.A. shot 42.4% (25-of-59) from the field while posting a plus-3 rebounding differential.

Clark was amazing with 11 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, four steals, and a blocked shot in 37 minutes while hitting two triples. Aliyah Boston and Temi Fagbenle each contributed with 17 points, too, while Kelsey Mitchell led the team with 18 points.

The Fever did a good job cooling off Dearica Hamby, who managed 18 points with 12 rebounds, seven assists, and four turnovers while shooting 6-of-13. Rookie Rickea Jackson came off the bench for 16 points, while the No. 2 overall pick, Cameron Brink, went for 15 points and nine rebounds with two blocked shots in her best game to date in the head-to-head clash with Clark.

The Fever were favored for the first time against the Sparks, and they won and covered. They’re 4-1 ATS in the past five games while cashing the Over in four of the past five games, too. On the flip side, the Sparks are 1-3-1 ATS in five games overall, with a slight 3-2 edge to the Over. While the Under cashed in the first meeting, Indiana has posted 78 or more points in five straight games, while allowing 85 or more points in all but the game with Los Angeles. Go high, as we should get a high-scoring game in the rematch.

Brink went for 21 points last time out against the Dallas Wings on Sunday, and she dropped in three triples. That’s two straight games, totaling four 3-pointers.

Oh yeah, and there’s that Clark player. We’re rolling with Brink for a three, but who is better from behind the arc than Clark? She has two or more 3-pointers in five straight games, and she has connected for four triples both against Connecticut on May 14 and New York on May 18. The Sparks are allowing the opposition to hit 34.5% from behind the arc, 8th in the WNBA.

Seattle Storm at Chicago Sky

We’ll go for another four-leg, four-figure parlay in the nightcap at Wintrust Arena on Tuesday night.

The Storm (3-3) take on the Sky (2-2), and Chicago is, pun intended, sky-high lately. The Sky went to New York and topped the Liberty 90-81 as a 16.5-point underdog, scoring a season-high. While they suffered an 86-82 loss to the Connecticut Sun in the home opener Saturday, the Sky hung tough and grabbed the cover at most shops as a 5-point ‘dog.

Seattle has won consecutive games for the first time this season, dropping triple digits on the Washington Mystics 101-69 on Saturday as an 8.5-point favorite. The Storm are 3-1 ATS in the past four games, so this won’t be easy for the Sky. The Storm have scored 84 or more points in four of the past five games, cashing the Over in three of those games.

The Storm’s Jewell Loyd dropped 32 points to go along with 11 rebounds and six assists Wednesday against the Fever. She has 20 or more points in three of the past five games while averaging 19.5 PPG overall. Against the Sky, we’re expecting a high-scoring game, and Loyd should be front and center for the Seattle offense.

For the Sky, Reese gets all of the attention, partly due to her play, and in part due to her mouth on social media. She’s entertaining, but it’s Marina Mabrey who leads this team, averaging 19.3 PPG with 7.0 RPG in four games, and she is averaging 5.5 APG with 2.0 SPG. Go high on her scoring total, too.

And as far as Reese is concerned, the Storm is allowing 35.5 rebounds per game, which ranks 9th in the WNBA. The rookie out of LSU should be able to gather plenty of boards. The 22-year-old has eight or more rebounds in three of the past four contests, and she is averaging 7.8 RPG. She should hit her target to help out this parlay.
