Minnesota Lynx (-265at Los Angeles Sparks (+210) | O/U Total 156 (-112/-108)

  • Leg 1: Minnesota Lynx -5.5 (-112)
  • Leg 2: Under 156 Total Points (-108)
  • Leg 3: Bridget Carleton To Score 10+ Points (-176)
  • Leg 4: Rickea Jackson To Record 4+ Rebounds (+116)

The Lynx (15-6) and the Sparks (5-16) have gone in opposite directions this season. Minnesota has won 15 games, while going a respectable 5-4 on the road and 10-3 in 13 conference games. It also picked up a victory in the Commissioner’s Cup against the New York Liberty. The Sparks are a dismal 11 games under .500, although Los Angeles has managed to go 4-6 in 10 games at Crypto.com Arena.

Minnesota has had a little bit of a hangover since securing the Cup from the Liberty on June 24, going just 2-3 straight up (SU) and 1-4 against the spread (ATS) in five games. The offense has struggled a bit, posting 74 or fewer points in four straight games, cashing the Under in every outing. The defense is doing its part, conceding 78 or fewer points in four in a row, and eight of the past nine regular-season outings.

For Los Angeles, it will be looking to avenge an 81-76 loss in the Twin Cities, although the Sparks were able to comfortably cash as a 12.5-point underdog as the Under (160.5) cashed.

In that earlier matchup, the Lynx shot 49.2% (30-of-61) from the field, and 26.1% (6-of-23) from behind the 3-point line, while hitting 83.3% (15-of-18) from the free-throw line. And 17s were wild for Minnesota, as they had 17 steals with 17 turnovers and 17 personal fouls. The Sparks actually outrebounded the Lynx by a 34-to-28 margin, but that was also when rookie Cameron Brink was still in the mix. She had four boards, but she is now done for the season due to a torn ACL. Rickea Jackson had 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Dearica Hamby had 16 points and 11 boards, and they’re both still healthy.

For the Lynx, Napheesa Collier misfired on all six of her shots from distance, but she was still 11-of-22 from the field, finishing with 30 points, eight steals, six rebounds and two blocked shots in 37 minutes. Meanwhile, Courtney Williams ende dup with 15 points, 10 assists, eight rebounds, four steals and a blocked shot, while dropping in a pair of 3-pointers. Bridget Carleton also struck for three triples, ending up with 11 points.

Minnesota is No. 1 in the WNBA with 39.1% from behind the 3-point line, while hitting 44.5% from the field to rank No. 3. It also ranks 5th with 82.1 PPG, while checking in 2nd with just 74.2 PPG allowed. The Lynx are No. 1 in both defensive field-goal percentage (39.5%) and defensive 3-pointer percentage (28.1%).

Los Angeles is rather toothless on offense, ranking 10th with just 79.0 PPG while hitting 42.3% from the field. The Sparks are also an awful free-throw shooting team, hitting 75.3%, to rank second-to-last in the W. Defensive, L.A. is awful, allowing 85.6 PPG to rank 10th, while the Sparks are 11th in both defensive field-goal percentage (45.8%) and defensive 3-pointer percentage (36.9%).

Looking to the Same-Game Parlay, it’s a great idea to back the Lynx laying the points, while also going with the Under. The total has gone low in six of the past seven games for Minnesota, while going 6-3 in the past nine for L.A., including the first matchup with the Lynx on June 14.

As far as the player props are concerned, the 27-year-old Carleton has been on a roll with 12.5 PPG across the past two games, and 12 or more points in four of the past six outings. She also had 11 points in the first meeting with the Sparks. As such, go with Carleton to get to at least 10 points.

For L.A., the rookie Jackson has six boards in each of the past two games, while going for at least six reboundsi n three of the past four outings, and five of the previous nine outings, including a career-high 10 boards in the first battle with Minnesota.
