(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Phoenix Mercury (+148) at Toronto Tempo (-184) | O/U 177.5 (-108/-112)
- Leg 1: Tempo -4.5 (-106)
- Leg 2: Over 177.5 Points (-108)
- Leg 3: Kahleah Copper Over 21.5 Points (-122)
The Mercury (6-13) visit the Tempo (9-9) at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on Saturday afternoon. The Mercury have posted a 4-7 mark on the road this season, while the Tempo are 5-3 on their home floor.
In the first-ever meeting between these organizations in the Valley of the Sun, Toronto topped Phoenix 98-90 as a 7.5-point underdog, as the over (170.5) cashed on May 19th.
The Tempo shot 46% (34-of-74) from the field, while hitting at 42% (15-of-36) from behind the three-point line. Brittney Sykes rolled up 31 points with four triples, while adding seven rebounds and six assists. Marina Mabrey scorched her former team for 30 points, five boards and three dimes, while nailing six three-pointers.
Phoenix shot 46% (32-of-70) from the field but just 18% (4-of-22) from downtown. Toronto was +3 on the boards. Natasha Mack provided a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while all five starters had 12+ points, but it wasn’t enough.
Toronto pounded Los Angeles 125-97 last time out, covering for a third straight game, while posting a franchise-best point total. The 28-point win was also the most lopsided win in the franchise’s brief history. The over has cashed in seven in a row for the Tempo, while the total has gone high at a 13-3 clip in the past 16 games.
Phoenix nipped the Fever 111-109 as a 7.5-point underdog in Indiana last time out on Wednesday, while the over (175.5) cashed. The Mercury are still just 2-5 straight up (SU) in the past seven games, and 2-4 against the spread (ATS) in the past six outings, and 6-12 ATS across the previous 18 contests.
The over and under have alternated in each of the past eight games, with the Mercury allowing at least 85 points in six of the past seven games.
Let’s back Toronto to get the job done, and we’ll go high on the total whenever the Tempo are playing.
For player props, Phoenix’s Kahleah Copper is on fire lately, scoring 20+ points in four of the past five games, pushing her season average to 19.7 points per game.
Copper had 28 points on Wednesday in Indiana, and she dropped 41 in an overtime loss to the Sparks on June 13th. In the past five outings, Copper is averaging 26.4 points per game. Let’s go high on her point total.

Los Angeles Sparks (+210) at Indiana Fever (-265) | O/U 178.5 (-105/-115)
- Leg 1: Sparks +6.5 (-115)
- Leg 2: Under 178.5 Points (-115)
- Leg 3: Kelsey Mitchell Over 27.5 Points + Assists (-112)
The Sparks (8-9) and Fever (10-8) tangle in Indianapolis at 8:00 p.m. ET in the second end of the CBS/Paramount+ double dip. The Fever won the only previous meeting this season on May 13th, 87-78, in Los Angeles as a 1.5-point favorite, with the under (185.5) cashing.
Los Angeles was punished 125-97 by Toronto to kick off the road trip on Thursday, as the over cashed for the third straight game and the fifth time in the past six outings. The Sparks are 1-3 ATS in their past four games, including the non-cover, and 3-7 ATS across their past 10 outings.
Indiana was tripped up 111-109 at home on Wednesday as a 7.5-point favorite, as the over (175.5) cashed, while slipping to 1-3 SU/ATS in the past four games, while the over is 4-1 in the past five games. The Fever has racked up 85+ points in seven straight games, including 96+ points in four of the past five outings.
The Fever could have some trouble scoring, however, with superstar Caitlin Clark (back) sidelined. She was injured last time out after being worked over by Alyssa Thomas of the Mercury on Thursday. The Phoenix forward appeared to grab Clark around the neck on the floor. Thomas received a one-game suspension, and Clark is out after the Flagrant 2 foul.
The Sparks will be without Cameron Brink (ankle) and Kelsey Plum (leg), so they’ll be without a lot of offense, too. Plum is expected to miss at least a month for the Sparks. We’ll back the Sparks to keep it within three buckets despite missing Plum. We’ll also go low on the total with Clark and Plum each in street clothes.
With Clark sidelined, Tyasha Harris will get the start in her place. It is expected that Kelsey Mitchell will be tasked with doing most of the heavy lifting offensively.
Mitchell had 30 points and six assists last time out, while dropping seven triples. She is working on a streak of seven straight games with two or more three-pointers. Let’s take Mitchell to go over on the combo prop for the chance to nearly 7X our wager.
