Portland Fire (+195) at Washington Mystics (-238) | O/U 163.5 (-105/-115)

The Fire (10-14) are making the third stop on a four-game road trip on Thursday night against the Mystics (12-10), as these teams are meeting in the nation’s capital for the second time since June 28th.

These teams had an epic first meeting, with Washington outlasting Portland 124-123 in four overtimes, just the second WNBA game ever to go to four extra frames. The other game was on July 3rd, 2001, and it also involved the Mystics, who topped the Storm 72-69.

In the win, Washington’s Sonia Citron was the hero, hitting the winner with 21.4 seconds left. She finished with 32 points, while Michaela Onyenwere finished with 30 points. Kiki Iriafen chipped in with 27 points, while adding 11 rebounds, six assists and two steals with a block. Shakira Austin ended up with just nine points, but she was good for 13 rebounds, six assists and four blocks.

Portland had four players with at least 16 points, including Carla Leite’s 32-point effort. Leite also went for nine assists, six rebounds, three steals and three made three-pointers. Sarah Ashlee Barker returned to the lineup last time out in Connecticut. The last time she faced the Mystics, she was good for 25 points, six rebounds and three assists.

Emily Engstler was good for six points, 11 rebounds, two assists, two steals and three blocks. She has picked up the pace lately, averaging 12.7 points per game, while averaging eight rebounds and 4.3 assists per game in the past three outings. She had at least one steal in 12 straight games, too, averaging 2.2 steals per game in the past seven outings, while also racking up 1.5 blocks per game in the past six outings.

Portland lost to Connecticut last time out in a game that started at 11:00 a.m. ET, or 8:00 a.m. PT internal time. Against Washington, the Fire should respond much better. They are still 4-1 against the spread (ATS) in the past five games, while the over is 7-2 across the previous nine, including its last trip to D.C.

Washington has won four of the past five games, but it is just 2-5 ATS in the past seven outings, and the under is 3-1 in the past four games and 6-2 across the past eight contests. One of those over results was the epic four-overtime game against Portland.

We’ll go over on the total, and take the Fire with the points. We’ll also take Engstler to go over her points + rebounds + assists combo prop. If you want to get a little crazy, take Iriafen to record a double-double (-120). Adding that leg will help you 8X your wager.

New York Liberty (+105) at Dallas Wings (-125) | O/U 176.5 (-110/-110)

The Liberty (14-11) and the Wings (16-8) tangle in Arlington, Texas, in the marquee battle of the evening on Amazon Prime Video at 9:00 p.m. ET.

These teams have met twice already this season, with the Wings taking both meetings and covering five in a row in this series. The under has cashed in four straight battles in this series since August 5th, 2025.

Don’t expect a defensive slog, however, as Dallas is averaging 89.5 points per game in the first two meetings this season, while allowing 76.5 points per game. We’ll go low on the total, based on the trends, while also taking the Wings, but it’s going to be close.

In the most recent meeting at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on July 7th, the Wings (+4.5) won 88-77, as the under (175.5) was never threatened. Jessica Shepard had another epic game, going for 22 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists, en route to a triple-double. She finished 11-of-16 from the field.

Paige Bueckers added 15 points, seven rebounds, six assists and two blocks. For the Liberty, Breanna Stewart was great, going for 29 points and nine rebounds, while shooting an efficient 10-of-16 from the floor. Jonquel Jones did her part, posting 17 points, 12 rebounds, three triples, two assists and two blocks in 32 minutes. Sabrina Ionescu chipped in with 14 points.

Dallas has won five consecutive games and is 3-1 ATS in the past four outings. The over has cashed in two in a row, averaging 102 points per game in the span, while allowing 93 points per game.

New York has dropped three in a row, and the skid started in that loss to the Wings on July 7th. They’re 1-2 ATS in the past three games and 3-7 ATS in the past 10 regular-season games, not including the team’s WNBA Commissioner’s Cup win, which seems so long ago. The 0ver is 3-1 in the past four games and 7-3 across the past 10 regular-season outings.

For player props, there is no way we’re not taking Shepard to record a double-double. And we’ll go with Jones to simply reach 12 points.
