Portland Fire at Golden State Valkyries

Leg #1: Portland Fire +8.5 (-110)

Golden State has opened the season winning five of their first eight games. The Valkyries do get the benefit of home-court advantage today against the Portland Fire. However, the Fire have decent momentum heading into this contest. The Valkyries are coming off a tough loss against Las Vegas on Sunday, and the 8.5 line may be somewhat ambitious given the opponent.

Golden State is 3-2 at home to date, and has played most of its games in 2026 on its home floor. The Portland Fire have won two consecutive games on the road, as well as in four out of their previous five contests.

Portland causes 13.5 turnovers per game, which will be a major focus point if the Fire wants to keep this game within reach. Portland will also have to put tremendous emphasis on running the Valkyries off the perimeter.

The Fire are holding opponents to 31.2% shooting from beyond the arc, and 20.5% over the last three contests. Golden State leads the WNBA with 10.9 three-pointers each game. If the Fire can maintain pressure above the perimeter, the Valkyries could find it difficult to sustain a lead of nine points or more.

Golden State is coming off a 10-point loss on its home floor and is now favored by nine points against a Portland team that has won two consecutive road games. The Fire have won five out of their previous seven games, and have covered the spread in four of the last seven games.

Leg #2: Veronica Burton Under 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (-152)

Veronica Burton was absolutely on fire last week for Golden State against the Indiana Fever. She finished with a season-high 25 points on a masterful 53.8% shooting from the field. The young guard followed that up with a less-than-desirable seven points on 3-of-9 shooting from the field against Las Vegas on Sunday.

The Valkyries guard is averaging a career-high 1.8 baskets from beyond the arc this season. Yet, Burton has not connected on two or more shots from three-point distance in two consecutive games. The Northwestern alum has only finished with two three-pointers in two out of five games played at home in 2026.

As previously mentioned, Portland has contained its opposition to a slim 20% from beyond the arc through the last three contests. The Fire allows 25 attempts from beyond the arc per game. Opponents are connecting on a league-low five three-pointers over the last five games.

Burton is currently questionable due to quad discomfort. Make sure to check the BettingPros App for all of your up-to-date information regarding injuries. Factoring in the possible injury, as well as Portland's current lockdown defense from deep, it's best to take the under on Burton’s three-pointers prop.

Leg #3: Carla Leite 10+ Points (-538)

We close out this parlay with a bit of a layup - no pun intended. You normally want to steer clear of adding a low-return prop when making a parlay.

However, the success rate on this prop is about as good as you can get. You want to be in the business of making profits, not just getting selections correct. Yet, every once in a while, it can be beneficial to take an alt line to round a three- or four-leg parlay.

Carla Leite is averaging 15.9 points per game this season, while connecting on 48.1% from the field. The young guard has scored at least 10 points in nine out of the last 10 games (including the preseason).

We wouldn't fault you for taking the line for points up to 15 to increase the return. Having said that, a 90% success rate on this prop makes 10+ points the safer and preferred route. Leite has attempted 10+ shots in six out of eight contests, and owns a 52.9% effective field-goal rate over that span.

Parlay Odds: +214
