Brook Lopez always seems to go off when he takes on the Sixers, and a large part of that scoring has come from beyond the arc. Over his last six games against Philadelphia, Lopez has converted at least two three-point attempts in five contests, averaging 18.7 PPG. It’s hard to know exactly how the scoring will shake out in Milwaukee just yet with Damian Lillard new to the team, but judging from the pre-season, it looks like Lopez will be firing from deep. In his two games with both Dame and Giannis on the floor, Lopez averaged nearly eight three-point attempts per 36 minutes.
Similar to Lopez, the Greek Freak always produces against Philly, particularly in the rebounding department. He is averaging 14.8 rebounds per game across his last 13 games facing the 76ers and has gone over this line in 12 of those contests. With Lopez guarding Embiid, Giannis is the one cleaning up the boards.
Without James Harden for the time being, Tyrese Maxey should be the one to step up in his absence. There were 11 instances last season where Maxey and Embiid played without Harden. In those contests, Tyrese generally flourished, averaging 29 points plus assists per game. He had 25+ P+A in eight of those 11 games. Jrue Holiday is no longer around to make life difficult on opposing guards, and replacing him is the defensively challenged Damian Lillard. Maxey shouldn’t have trouble getting around him and finding plenty of scoring and dishing opportunities throughout the game.
