Best Prop Bets Today

On top of pinpointing our top prop bets by star rating, we can take it a step further by identifying which five-star props also have a 100% hit rate over the player's last five games. You can also filter hit rates over the past 15 games, but let's not push our luck.

Carson Benge Over 0.5 Hits

Last Week: 1-0 | Season Record: 1-0 | Best Odds: -118 at PrizePicks

With a little help from his friends, Samuel Basallo cashed last week's 5-star prop bet of the day in the top of the ninth after singling to right and later being driven in by a sacrifice fly. Let's see if we can keep the momentum going this week.

The MLB prop bet cheat sheet today features 40 player props with a 100% hit rate over the last five games - only 10 of which carry 5-star ratings

One of those 5-star prop bets is Carson Benge to go over 0.5 hits.

Carson Benge player prop

The BettingPros prop bet cheat sheet has Benge projected for 1.1 hits in his matchup today on the road in Miami. The Mets rookie outfielder will face Marlins starter Eury Perez.

Today's contest between the Mets and Marlins has a projected total of eight runs, and Benge is expected to lead off. He's gone over his hits prop in six straight games and in 13 of his last 15 contests. The rookie sensation has gone hitless just twice in his last 17 games.

As the leadoff hitter, Benge should get plenty of opportunities to record a base hit. He has had at least four at-bats in 12 of his last 15 games, including 10 straight. Over his last 10 games, Benge has recorded five or more at-bats seven times.

Those at-bat numbers play a large role in why the BettingPros prop bet cheat sheet projects Benge for 1.8 hits and gives this prop bet an expected value of 26%.

Benge has a 59.6% hit rate to the over on his hits prop this season, and that number jumps to an astronomical 86.7% over his last 15 games.

We don't have any batter versus pitcher data for Benge against Perez, but the Marlins righty has a 5.33 ERA and has allowed 46 hits in 52.1 innings this season, including 16 hits in 21 innings this month. Left-handed hitters have accounted for 25 of those 46 overall hits, good for 54.3%.

On the season, Benge has 43 hits - 33 of which have come against right-handed pitchers. He's also 19-for-53 with a .358/.393/.396 slash line from the leadoff spot, while striking out just seven times in that split.

With a hit in six straight games and 12 total hits during that span, Benge is in a phenomenal spot to go over his hits prop again tonight. With a 68% cover probability, backing Benge is an easy bet.
