Oneil Cruz Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs

Last Week: 1-0 | Season Record: 7-6 | Best Odds: -120 at DraftKings Sportsbook

The Rays routed the Padres 9-4 last Friday, and Junior Caminero came through for us with three combined hits + runs + RBIs, easily cashing his combo prop. Let’s try to cash in back-to-back weeks.

The MLB prop bet cheat sheet for Friday lists just 17 player props with a 100% hit rate over the last five games - with three labeled as a 5-star bet.

Let’s target the batter with the highest projection EV of the three - Oneil Cruz. The cheat sheet likes him to go over 1.5 combined hits + runs + RBIs - a feat he has accomplished in six straight games.

oneil cruz prop bet

Not only has the Pirates slugger gone over this projected number in six straight games, but he’s done so in seven of his last 10 games. This season, he has a 60.3% hit rate to the over and went off for nine combined hits + runs + RBIs a few days ago.

During his six-game over streak, Cruz is averaging 3.5 combined hits + runs + RBIs, which includes a total of 10 hits, five runs and six RBIs. He’s been on a tear since returning to the Pirates’ lineup on August 18th, going over this line in 11 out of 14 games. Seven of those 11 games he went over left no doubt, with three or more combined hits + runs + RBIs, including four games with four or more. Even more impressive is that Cruz hit the over yesterday in just one at-bat, recording a run and an RBI.

We have an extremely small hitter-versus-pitcher sample size for tonight’s matchup. Cruz has just one career at-bat versus Angels starting pitcher Ryan Johnson. However, it did result in a hit; halfway to what we need from Cruz tonight. The splits favor Cruz in this one. The righty Johnson has allowed more hits (38), runs (24) and RBIs (24) to left-handed batters, like Cruz, than he has to righties (29 hits, 21 runs, 21 RBIs).

The MLB Prop Bet Cheat Sheet projects Cruz for 2.5 combined hits + runs + RBIs with a +31% projection EV. Based on his recent production, we like Cruz’s chances of extending his over streak to seven straight games tonight.
