We are down to the last college football game - the College Football Playoff (CFP) National Championship between the No. 1 Indiana Hoosiers and the No. 10 Miami Hurricanes. If you like to bet on college football, this is your last chance. In this post, we'll discuss our favorite anytime touchdown scorers for the big game.
Through the CFP, we have seen Indiana score 94 points (two games) and Miami score 65 points (three games). Both teams have scored quite a few touchdowns. However, in the five CFP games they've played, their opponents have scored a total of 69 points (fewer than 12 points per game).

College Football Anytime Touchdown Scorers: National Championship
(Odds Courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Elijah Sarratt Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-115 at BetMGM)
Elijah Sarratt led the most explosive offense in college football in touchdowns with 15 in the regular season and has had three in two CFP games. Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Ohio State were successful moving the ball against Miami’s defense via the passing game, but managed just two passing touchdowns.
But Indiana’s offense is something special. Miami may slow it down in the first half, but Fernando Mendoza is playing at a level higher than they are capable of containing. He'll hook up with his favorite target in the end zone at least once.
Elijah Sarratt First-Half Touchdown Scorer (+210 at bet365)
Elijah Sarratt scored in the first half against Oregon, but not until the second half against Alabama. But I think the Miami defense will be tougher than Alabama or Oregon, which makes it a little more likely Mendoza targets his go-to receiver when Indiana gets within range of the end zone.
Kaelon Black Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+100 at BetMGM)
Roman Hemby led the Hoosiers in rushing yards, but Kaelon Black led the team in rushing touchdowns with 10 to Hemby's seven. In Indiana's two CFP games, Black has appeared to be the Hoosiers' choice in the red zone. He has scored three times in the playoffs. It would not be shocking to see him get called upon again.
Malachi Toney Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+160 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
Indiana has been tough to run and throw against, giving up just six rushing and nine receiving touchdowns this year. With that in mind, the best Miami anytime touchdown prop has to be Malachi Toney. The Hurricanes have made it clear in their previous CFP games that they will find ways to get him the ball.
Toney scored eight touchdowns in the regular season - seven receiving and one rushing - and has had two in the playoffs (versus Texas A&M and Ole Miss).
CJ Daniels Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+270 at FanDuel Sportsbook)
CJ Daniels scored in five of the eight games he played in during the regular season, but has not scored in the playoffs yet. But there is a good chance the Hurricanes will be throwing a lot in the second half as they try to play catch-up. If he doesn't score early, he'll get on the board in garbage time. At +270, he is a solid value play.
