FAU Owls (-490) at UL Monroe Warhawks (+365) | O/U 57.5 (-115/-105)
- Leg 1: UL Monroe +11.5 (-106)
- Leg 2: Over 57.5 Points (-115)
- Leg 3: FAU Over 455.5 Total Yards (-114)
FAU (2-1) hits the road for Malone Stadium in Monroe, La. to take ULM (0-3) in a battle between two teams which used to be Sun Belt members together.
ULM leads the all-time series 7-2, and this is the first meeting since Oct. 13, 2012, when the Warhawks won 35-14. FAU’s last win in the series was Oct. 25, 2008, a 29-28 nail-biter in Monroe.
FAU was pounded by Florida in the opener, but it returned home and won back-to-back games with covers against Navy and FIU, while the Over is 2-1 on the season. For ULM, it is coming off a 38-35 loss to SE Louisiana, and FCS team, last time out, and it is just 1-2 against the spread (ATS) so far, while the Over is also 2-1 for the Warhawks.
Even though the Warhawks suffered a loss to an FCS team last time out, we’ll take the home team catching double digits. FAU has a powerful passing offense, but the defense has been extremely giving, allowing 96 points in the first two games before just 10 points allowed in a rivalry game last week. Let’s go Over, too, as ULM has given up 126 points, or 42.0 points per game (PPG), in three games to date.
We’ll go Over on FAU’s total yardage, too, as we should see plenty of offense on both sides.
Parlay Odds: +456
Oregon State Beavers (-465) at UTEP Miners (+350) | O/U 56.5 (-106/-114)
- Leg 1: Oregon State -10.5 (-120)
- Leg 2: Over 56.5 Points (-106)
- Leg 3: UTEP Under 150.5 Rushing Yards (-114)
Oregon State (1-2) and UTEP (1-2) meet at the Sun Bowl in El Paso on Saturday at 9:00 p.m. ET on Mountain West+.
The Beavers are playing their third opponent of the season from the Lone Star State, having lost 33-20 at Houston in Week 1, and 35-24 at home against Texas Tech in Week 2. The Beavers are 3-0 ATS, while the Over has cashed in all three games, too. That includes a 52-17 victory over Montana as a 17.5-point favorite while the Over (55.5) cashed last week.
For the Miners, they dropped a 52-17 game in The Big House at Michigan last week, barely missing a cover as a 34.5-point underdog as the Over (49.5) cashed. UTEP has allowed 51.5 points per game (PPG) in two games against FBS opponents this season, while averaging just 8.5 PPG. The lone win for UTEP was a 51-10 victory over Texas Southern of the FCS, cashing as a 27.5-point favorite in the only home game to date.
The Beavers are a strong play laying the little bit of points. We’ll go Over on the total, as Oregon State should be able to get the offense cooking, and UTEP will score points against the Beavers, as they’re not in the same department as the Oklahoma and Michigan defenses, which kept the Miners at bay.
While Oregon State has allowed 159.7 yards per game this season, UTEP won’t be able to generate anything close to that on the ground. In fact, it will likely abandon the run after tumbling into a hole, passing to get back into the game.
Parlay Odds: +411
Minnesota Golden Gophers (+300) at Washington Huskies (-385) | O/U 48.5 (-106/-114)
- Leg 1: Minnesota +9.5 (-104)
- Leg 2: Under 45.5 Points (-105)
- Leg 3: Demond Williams Jr. Over 260.5 Passing Yards (-114)
Minnesota (2-1) and Washington (3-0) meet in the Big Ten conference opener at Husky Stadium in Seattle at 11:00 p.m. ET on FOX.
The Golden Gophers were no match for Mississippi State at home on Sept. 12, but Minnesota has blowout wins over Eastern Illinois and Akron in the other outings. The jury is still out on the Golden Gophers and their defense, however. The Over is 2-1 in three games to date.
The Huskies have struggled on offense, posting just a 24-10 win in the Apple Cup against Washington State, while posting a narrow 16-14 victory over Utah State in Seattle on Sept. 12 as a 28.5-point favorite. Last week, UW spanked Eastern Washington 48-16 at home as a 42.5-point favorite, as the Huskies slipped to 0-3 ATS. The Under is 2-0 in two games against FBS opponents so far, too.
We’re going to take the Golden Gophers catching the points, as Minnesota has the tools to keep this a one-score game. And, we’ll go low on the total, as Minnesota could barely move the ball on offense in its only game against a power-conference opponent, while Washington is 2-0 to the Under against FBS foes.
While I am expecting the Under in this game, Washington’s offense is QB Demond Williams, and he has passed for 890 yards through three games. In two games against FBS opponents, he is averaging 258.5 passing yards per game against FBS foes, and he should be able to do a little more in this conference opener.
Parlay Odds: +757
