Ranking third in pace, the Hawks will look to push the tempo of this game in Mexico City. Leading the way for them is none other than Trae Young, one of the leading assist men in the NBA. So far this season he has 10+ assists in five of seven games. In four games against Orlando last season he put up 13, 14, 16, and 13 assists.
Without Wendell Carter Jr.’s presence down low, Trae should also be able to score with relative ease in the paint. The Magic have permitted the 6th most points per game to opposing Point Guards. Young has scored 20+ points in six of seven games this season and has gone over this line in five of them.
Paolo Banchero got off to a rough scoring start to his season but has found his way back. Over his last three games, he has scored 30, 25, and 22 points. He should be able to carry over this scoring into tonight’s game given the matchup on hand. The Hawks have allowed the second most points per game to opposing Power Forwards.
