Today's MLB schedule features 18 games due to rainouts and postponements from last night's action. With all of the games comes a myriad of betting options. I've narrowed in on these three bets for today's slate.

Minnesota Twins (-225) vs. Oakland Athletics (+190) | 8.0 (-105/-115)
The Twins escaped last night's series opener with a 5-4 win over the lowly Athletics. They'll look to keep things rolling when they send Pablo Lopez to the bump. Oakland counters with Hogan Harris in this American League tilt scheduled for 7:07 p.m. ET from the Coliseum.
I'm locking in the under in this one. It's been a rollercoaster season for Lopez, but he has turned things around lately. In his previous two starts, the right-hander has allowed just one earned run over 15.0 innings. That includes a complete game shutout against the Royals on the 5th. In addition to his great form, Lopez has held the current Oakland roster to a combined 0-12 (.000) with five strikeouts. He should settle in early and mow down this bottom-tier A's team.
One of my favorite bets this year has been fading the Twins when they're facing left-handed pitching. Minnesota is currently dead last in both team batting average (.220) and OPS (.659) against LHP. While Harris isn't great with his 6.07 ERA, he'll have an opportunity to turn in a decent outing against a Twins squad that struggles against Southpaws. Let's ride with the under.
Bet: Under 8.0 (-110)
Milwaukee Brewers (+100) vs. Cincinnati Reds (-120) | 9.5 (+100/-120)
The Brewers took care of business in a 1-0 affair last night, thanks to a great outing from Corbin Burnes. Today's pitching matchup features a battle between Freddy Peralta and Andrew Abbott. This one is slated for 7:10 p.m. ET from the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, OH.
Peralta has struggled on the road this season as he owns a 5.82 ERA, and opponents are hitting .268 against him away from Milwaukee. The right-hander also doesn't have favorable numbers against Cincinnati. The current lineup is slashing .286/.344/.554 with eight extra-base hits against him over 56 at-bats.
On the flip side, Abbott continues to impress in his young career (2.38 ERA, 1.03 WHIP). However, he was shelled in his last outing by this Milwaukee squad. They put up six earned runs against him over 4.1 innings of work. That game ended in a 7-3 final score. Factor in that this game is taking place in the hitter-friendly GABP, and I think we'll see a ton of runs once again. Let's take the over.
Bet: Over 9.5 (+100)
Washington Nationals (+160) vs. St. Louis Cardinals (-190) | 9.0 (-115/-105) (Game Two)
The Nationals and Cardinals will play two games today after last night's contest was suspended in the 3rd inning. I'm taking it to the latter of the two games, where we have a set pitching matchup between Jake Irvin and Steven Matz. It's scheduled for 7:15 p.m. ET from Busch Stadium in St. Louis, MO.
I'm playing the over in this spot. Jake Irvin enters this game at 2-5 with a 4.60 ERA and 1.45 WHIP over 58.2 innings of work this year. The right-hander will attempt to handle a St. Louis offense that has been hot recently. Over the last 15 days, the Cardinals are ranked fourth in team batting average (.283) and fifth in OPS (.820).
As for Matz, he's just now returning to the rotation after spending some time in the bullpen. The southpaw is currently 0-7 with a 4.65 ERA and 1.51 WHIP. He'll take on a Washington side that's excelled against LHP this year. They're fourth in the Majors in team batting average (.279) against lefties, and they have the seventh-best OPS (.768). Additionally, the current roster is slashing .385/.385/.692 over 26 at-bats against Matz. Nine runs is a lot, but I think it's obtainable with these two respectable offenses taking on below-average starters.
Bet: Over 9.0 (-115)
