(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Jose Ramirez (+380)
The Guardians enter Memorial Day on an outstanding nine-game winning streak. Third baseman Jose Ramirez has been at the forefront of an offensive attack that ranks second in runs per game (4.96). He has tallied six homers during the streak, which has swelled his season total to 15. Not only that, but Ramirez is consistently coming through with runners on base as he leads the league with 52 RBI.
Ramirez has also posted a .610 slugging percentage against left-handed pitchers. The Rockies are sending lefty Austin Gomber to the mound in this series opener in Colorado. Gomber has allowed at least one home run in six of his 10 starts this year and owns a 4.82 career ERA at Coors Field. Trust the numbers and rely on Ramirez to continue a torrid stretch of production.
Jake Burger (+500)
Only two pitchers have given up at least 12 home runs in 2024. San Diego starter Michael King is one of them. The 29-year-old possesses the arm talent needed to make batters whiff, yet he is still leaving the occasional meatball over the middle of the plate. That makes the Marlins lineup one to focus on ahead of Monday’s showdown against the Padres at Petco Park. Jake Burger and his +500 odds stick out the most.
Burger was forced to make a few mechanical changes to his swing after suffering a rotational injury. The good thing is that he seems to have found his groove. The Miami infielder went 6-for-12 in the team’s three-game series against the Diamondbacks over the weekend. All four of Burger’s dingers on the campaign have come on the road against a right-handed pitcher. He’s in a good spot to go yard.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (+290) and Bo Bichette (+450)
Targeting the White Sox pitching staff has been a fruitful beneficial strategy time and time again. After all, Chicago has allowed the most home runs in the league (74) and checks in 29th in team ERA (4.70). Rookie Nick Nastrini will start on Monday. The right-hander has logged a dreadful 11.91 ERA and 2.56 WHIP across his first three MLB starts (11 innings). The Blue Jays torched Nastrini for eight earned runs not even a week ago.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has recorded a .875 OPS in 13 games played at Guaranteed Rate Field and has totaled nine hits in Toronto’s last four games. Meanwhile, Bo Bichette smoked one of Nastrini’s sliders for a 413-foot no-doubter to center field in their last clash. Those willing to place a wager on both of these powerful pros will have a shot at a massive payout. Talk about an exciting holiday memory.
