(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Christian Walker (+235)

Monday marks the return of Colorado’s Antonio Senzatela. The right-hander will make his first start since May 10, 2023, after undergoing Tommy John surgery. It’s a great development for the Rockies’ pitching depth, but one the Diamondbacks can take advantage of. Senzatela showed some rust logging a 5.29 ERA over five minor-league rehab starts. This is a hurler that owns a 4.87 career ERA across 145 appearances.

First baseman Christian Walker is the Arizona hitter to target here. He has been lights out in September, posting a .300/.432/.600 slash line to go with a pair of dingers. Remember that the 33-year-old has also seen Senzatela plenty of times before in divisional battles. Walker is 14-for-27 with two home runs and four doubles against him. Combining momentum and experience is a recipe for a big day at the plate.

William Contreras (+500)

The Phillies and Brewers begin a three-game series that will go a long way in determining playoff seeding on Monday. Milwaukee’s stars will have to step up, which is what catcher William Contreras has been doing all year. The two-time All-Star has batted a team-high .277 at home and has already set a career-high mark with 22 home runs. He also checks in 22nd among MLB pros with a 49.9% hard-hit percentage.

Contreras’ chances of going deep are boosted by the matchup he draws. Philadelphia’s Ranger Suarez takes the mound following an outing where he gave up a discouraging 12 hits. The lefty hasn’t been the same since suffering a back injury and now runs into a foe that has gotten the best of him before. Contreras is 7-for-17 with three blasts versus Suarez. That level of success should not be ignored by bettors.

Shohei Ohtani (+475) and Teoscar Hernandez (+500)

The Dodgers have smacked more homers than any other National League squad (208) and have eight players on the roster with double-digit jacks. To dive even deeper, Los Angeles leads the sport with a .448 slugging percentage against left-handed pitchers. Atlanta southpaw Max Fried has his work cut out for him pitching at Truist Park on Monday night. The venue has ranked 10th in offensive park factors since the start of the 2022 season.

Two names stick out in this clash and they are Shohei Ohtani and Teoscar Hernandez. Ohtani remains a top-three batter in home runs (26) and OPS (1.044) during home contests as he chases a 50/50 campaign. Meanwhile, Hernandez leads the Dodgers with a .948 OPS versus lefties and has an extra-base knock in his last three games. Bettors in search of a bit more bang for their buck can parlay these teammates at +2900 odds.
