Monday’s Best MLB Home Run Props & Picks
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Junoir Caminero (+310)
Junior Caminero has smashed a .318 ISO and a wOBA of .363 against his last 27 lefties. He’s also struck out 11.1% of the time against lefties and has been patient at the plate when facing lefties.
Tonight, he’ll battle Eric Lauer of the Toronto Blue Jays, who has allowed a .220 ISO and a wOBA of .334 to 103 righties this season. Over the last 30 days, righties have hit an 11.8% barrel rate with 42.6% of fly balls. Lauer has struck out just 10.2% of righties over the last month.
Caminero hasn’t hit a ton of fly balls against lefties. But a matchup against Lauer should change that. Take Caminero to add a home run at +310 odds.
Liam Hicks (+880)
Liam Hicks has been a surprising bright spot for the Miami Marlins this season. He’s shown off a lot of power over the last month, hitting a .215 ISO and a wOBA of .389 against right-handed pitching.
Hicks has limited strikeouts to 9.3% against righties and has added 32.8% of line drives with 47.5% of hard contact against righties.
Hicks will face Aaron Nola of the Phillies, who has watched lefties hit a .278 ISO and a wOBA of .486 over the last 30 days. Nola has allowed 26.7% of fly balls, 40% of line drives and has walked more lefties than he’s struck out over the last month.
At +880 odds, Hicks is worth taking a shot on.
Andy Pages (+570)
The Astros will give Steven Okert the ball tonight. The left-handed pitcher has faced 25 righties over the last 30 days and has allowed a .333 ISO and a wOBA of .444. He’s struck out 8% and has walked 12% of righties over the last 30 days, while allowing 50% hard contact and 25% of line drives.
Okert will face Andy Pages of the Dodgers, who has hit a .389 ISO and a wOBA of .492 against lefties over the last 30 days. Pages has hit 85.7% of hard contact with nearly 29% of line drives against lefties. Pages has enough power to lift a line drive over the fence against a lefty like Okert.
I’ll take Pages at +570 to hit a homer.
