Dean Kremer Over 4.5 Ks (-130)
In the last 30 days, Dean Kremer has struck out 28.6% of lefties but just 15.6% of righties. But the good news is, he’ll likely face more lefties than righties when he faces tonight’s Tampa Bay Rays lineup.
The Rays should have five lefties in the lineup. Those five lefties have combined to strike out 26.8% of the time against righties in the last month. That gives Kremer the edge. He’s held lefties to a .048 ISO and wOBA of .259 and has limited line drives to 17.1% of all batters over the last month.
Meanwhile, the Rays have hit just a .121 ISO and wOBA of .283, proving Kremer should end up pitching into the sixth inning tonight. Let’s grab Kremer to go Over 4.5 Ks.
M.J. Melendez Over 1.5 Total Bases (+140)
The Minnesota Twins will pitch young righty Zebby Matthews. While he’s done some nice things against right-handed hitters, he’s struggled against lefties.
Melendez has allowed a .409 ISO and wOBA of .477 against his first 46 lefties faced on the major league mound. He’s also allowed 67.6% of hard contact and 38.2% of fly balls. In addition, he’s induced only 32.4% of ground balls and has allowed a 17.6% barrel percentage to lefties in the last 30 days.
He’ll take on M.J. Melendez of the Royals, who has ripped apart righties in the last 30 days. Melendez has smashed a .250 ISO and wOBA of .374 against his last 68 lefties. He’s also hit 55.8% of hard contact and has knocked a 9.3% barrel percentage.
Try Melendez tonight!
Cal Raleigh Over 1.5 Total Bases (+120)
In the last 30 days, the switch-hitting Cal Raleigh has hit a .250 ISO and wOBA of .365 against his last 66 righties. As a left-handed hitter, he’s struck out below 20% of the time in the previous month and has added a 60.5% hard contact rate with a 16.3% barrel percentage.
He’ll compete against Erick Fedde of the Cardinals. Fedde is a right-handed pitcher who has allowed a .283 ISO and wOBA of .389 to his last 53 lefties. The former White Sox starter has earned just 8% of swinging strikes against lefties and allowed 45.5% of hard contact with a 9.1% barrel percentage. He’s allowed 39.4% of line drives and more than 30% of fly balls to lefties over the last month.
Meanwhile, Raleigh has launched 34.9% of fly balls and has been a bit unlucky with balls in play, earning a BABIP of .231 over the last 30 days. But if he continues to put up these above stats, he’ll start to see success.
Let’s ride Raleigh to earn at least two total bases tonight.
