Ezequiel Duran Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+100)
Texas' Ezequiel Duran enters Monday afternoon’s game riding a six-game hitting streak. The infielder has cleared 1.5 combined hits + runs + RBIs in all three games in this series, as well as in five of his last six outings. Over the last seven days, Duran is hitting .350 and ranks 43rd in wOBA (.350). Texas, as a team, is fourth in the Majors in wOBA (.365) over the last week.
Duran will be running into Seattle's George Kirby, who has been inconsistent this season with a 3.57 ERA (29th) and a 1.28 WHIP (45th). He has owned the right-hander in the past, going 10-for-19 (.526) against him with a double.
Kirby also allows a .306 opponents’ batting average on the road this season, compared to .254 at home. Let's back Duran to stay hot and capitalize on the head-to-head edge.
Zack Wheeler Over 7.5 Strikeouts (+118)
There's a chance that we look back at a line of 7.5 strikeouts and realize it was way too low for Zack Wheeler on Monday night. For pitchers who have thrown at least 100 innings in 2026, the Philadelphia ace ranks 10th in the Majors in strikeouts per nine innings (10.53). His 117 punchouts are the 27th-most this season.
Wheeler has been racking up the strikeouts recently, eclipsing 7.5 punchouts in all four starts this month. He's averaging 10.8 strikeouts per start in July.
Wheeler will take on a Miami offense that's struggling, ranking 21st in wOBA (.285) with the sixth-highest strikeout rate (26.5%) over the last seven days. Add in that 23 of Wheeler's 61 head-to-head at-bats (37.7%) against current Marlins players have ended in strikeouts, and I'd say he's primed for a big-time outing.
Walbert Urena Under 15.5 Outs Recorded (-105)
This is a nice sell-high spot on Los Angeles' Walbert Urena. The right-hander has looked good this season, posting a 2.78 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP. However, Urena has failed to record 16+ outs in three of his last five starts.
The Halos welcome an Astros side that has been stroking it well, ranking seventh in wOBA (.346) and fifth in ISO (.194) over the last seven days. The big guns of Jeremy Pena (.602), Yordan Alvarez (.564) and Isaac Paredes (.541) all rank inside the top 10 in wOBA during the last week. I think they chase Urena early, leading to the under on his outs recorded line to cash.
