Monday’s Best MLB PrizePicks Player Predictions
This Season: 23-27
In his last four starts, Shohei Ohtani has recorded a total of 39 strikeouts. He has given up 12 earned runs during that span, but the Angels are not afraid to let him keep pitching even if he falls behind. He should throw around 100 pitches because of this, even if the Orioles do manage to score some runs on him.

He should throw around 100 pitches because of this, even if the Orioles do manage to score some runs on him.
The Orioles are one of the best teams in baseball when it comes to strikeouts. They have just 319 as a team, which is tied for the seventh-best mark in the league. But Ohtani has been racking up strikeouts for over the last month no matter who he has faced.
Mookie Betts is 2-6 in his lifetime against Twins' starter Pablo Lopez. One of those two hits was a double. Tonight, Betts just needs to hit a single to get this number, and we like him to do so.
Betts is on a three-game hitting streak and has reached safely in six of his last seven games. He hasn't had a multi-hit game since May 2, but his last six hits have all been for extra bases. Betts has a lot of power and only needs a single to clear this number tonight. We like him to put one in play at least once.
Xander Bogaerts is 3-11 in his life against Royals' starter Brad Keller. However, he has never struck out against the pitcher, so he always puts the ball in play. Getting this below 1.5 seems like an outstanding deal because of this.
Keller has a WHIP of 1.76. However, in his last start, he allowed only three hits to the Chicago White Sox. The start prior, he allowed 11 hits to the Oakland A's. He's been a wildly inconsistent pitcher, but Bogaerts has started to find some consistency at the plate. He has reached safely in three consecutive games and will make it four straight tonight.
