It's a busy Monday of MLB action, with 14 games set to be played, beginning at 6:40 p.m. ET. Will Matt Olson hit his first home run in over two weeks? Can Cristian Javier get back to dominating opposing batters, and will Blake Snell succeed against the Cardinals?

Monday’s Best MLB PrizePicks Player Predictions
This Season: 73-85
Olson has seven hits in his last four games, and though he hasn't hit a home run, he has recorded three doubles during that span. Olson is 0-3 in his career against Austin Gomber, but for this over to hit, all it will take is one swing of the bat.

Gomber has allowed 25 home runs and 160 hits in 136.1 innings this season. With Olson already blasting 43 home runs this season and this game being played in Colorado, it's not very hard to see why this is a phenomenal matchup. Olson hasn't hit a home run since Aug. 13. We think that changes tonight. Even if it doesn't, he will do enough to hit this over.
Strikeouts have not been easy to come by for Javier in August. He has just 12 in four games and has yet to strike out more than three batters in a game. In his last start, he struck out just three Red Sox in 5.0 innings.
The Red Sox are one of the best lineups at avoiding strikeouts in the Majors. Javier doesn't pitch deep into games, and even when he goes more than 5.0 innings, it doesn't always translate to more strikeouts. Don't overthink this one. Expect a similar performance to one week ago.
Snell doesn't have much history against the current St. Louis Cardinals' lineup. However, those he has faced, he has dominated. He has only allowed three hits in 27 at-bats and has struck out nine.
We haven't seen Snell strike out double-digit batters since July 8, which was the end of a stretch that saw him strike out 10 or more in five of six starts. Still, he has struck out eight or more in three of his last five. He's always around this number, and while the Cardinals are good at avoiding strikeouts, Snell's history against the lineup will push him over the top.
