You can't really ask for a better Saturday matchup than getting to square off with Kansas City's Jordan Lyles and his season-long 3-14 record and 6.20 ERA. The 32-year-old has given up at least four earned runs in each of his last four starts, and he barely strikes anyone out these days. Rodriguez is already 3-for-6 off him in his career, and the superstar outfielder should be able to graciously add to those numbers again today.
Mookie Betts Over 9.5 Hitter Fantasy Score
It's looking like a star-powered Saturday, and Mookie Betts is primed to hit the over on this line with ease. Betts returned to Boston as a Dodger for the first time on Saturday and finished with 11 fantasy points, and he has surpassed the 9.5 line in each of the past five games. He obviously has a little extra motivation to play well in Boston this weekend, so I would expect him to be at his best during each at-bat.
Betts will get to square off against a lefty in James Paxton, and Mookie's splits have been solid against southpaws this season, as he has batted .311 and mashed 13 of his 34 homers against them. He also already has three career home runs against Paxton across just 24 career matchups. Boston stole game one of the series on Friday night, and on Saturday, the ex-Red Sox will be looking to make his former franchise pay.
Ronald Acuna Jr. Over 0.5 Runs
Sticking with the theme of the day, I'm going to throw the NL MVP frontrunner in here to score a run against the Giants on Saturday. The Braves have continued to put up huge runs all season, and they will welcome the sight of SP Sean Manaea toeing the rubber on Saturday.
Manaea possesses a season-long 5.06 ERA and offers a nice opportunity for right-handed Atlanta bats on Saturday, as the aging veteran is much more efficient against lefties. Acuna Jr. has scored five times over the past seven games, and he has reached base at least once in each of his last 17. A dangerous threat to steal himself into scoring position, Acuna's odds of scoring at least once on Saturday have quite an elevated chance of occurring.
