Happy Thursday. It’s not quite the weekend yet, but baseball helps get us there with a slate of nine games on the docket.
Below are a few of the best PrizePicks plays worth considering for today, Thursday, Sept. 21.

Thursday’s Best MLB PrizePicks Player Predictions
This season: 68-58-8
Max Fried has been dealing with a 'hot spot' on his left index finger, so the Braves elected to skip his last start to give it some time to heal. At this point, they are just trying to stay fresh as they gear up for a deep October run, so the last thing they want to do is push Fried here. Let's play into this narrative while simultaneously fading the Nationals, who have been atrocious against lefties as of late.

They have been the worst wRC+ (48) and batting average (.200) against left-handed pitching over the last 30 days. Fried has absolutely dominated the Nationals roster in the past, and they hold a pathetic .234 xwOBA and .177 batting average against him in 64 combined plate appearances. Assuming the Braves want to be careful with Fried, this could be no more than a five-inning start, so take the under here.
It's only right to go back to the fade of the New York Yankees after Kevin Gausman dismantled them. He finished with 10 Ks in six scoreless innings yesterday. The "Bronx Bombers" have the third-worst K% (27.3%) and wRC+ (77) against righties over the last month. Six of the last seven to face them have struck out seven-plus batters, so it only seems right to target Jose Berrios’ strikeout prop. Berrios has a history of striking the Yankees out. Their roster owns a 27.4% K% in 144 plate appearances against him, and he struck out eight in 6.2 innings against them on May 18.
Tarik Skubal is one of the best young and upcoming lefties in the game and continues to rack up copious amounts of strikeouts. He ranks in the 95th percentile in K%, 96th in CSW%, 99th in xFIP abd 100th in xERA. He also has seven-plus strikeouts in six consecutive starts. The matchup for him couldn’t be any better, squaring off against the lowly Oakland A’s, who have the worst K% (28.5%) vs. lefties over the past 30 days. He should dominate once again today, pitching at the Oakland Coliseum.
